The Ukrainian U-17 team (players born in 2007 or later) participated in the qualification round for Euro-2024 in October.

In Group 3, the blue-and-yellow team first drew with Finland (2:2), after which they crushed the hosts from Liechtenstein — 7:0. In the final match, the protégés of Vladimir Yezersky conceded to Germany (0:1) and finished third in the group. Nevertheless, after the mini-tournament ended, Ukraine retained their chances of securing a spot in the elite round because not only do the top two teams from each group qualify but also five of the best third-placed teams out of thirteen.

In the competition for third-place teams, results against the first and second-placed teams in the group are taken into account. Therefore, Ukraine had one golden point and a goal difference of 2—3.

Today, after matches in Group 9, it became known that our team has indeed secured a spot for the next stage of the competition.

Draw for third-placed teams in the qualification round for Euro-2024 (U-17) on November 6: Denmark — 1 point (goals — 3—4), Ukraine — 1 (2—3), Bosnia and Herzegovina — 1 (2—4), Northern Ireland — 1 (0—2), Luxembourg — 1 (1—4), Iceland — 1 (0—3), Scotland — 0 (1—6), Latvia — 0 (0—5), Malta — 0 (0—8), Kosovo — 0 (0—9).

Matches in three more groups will conclude on November 21, but it is already clear that the Ukrainian youth team will not drop below fifth place in this ranking.

The draw for the elite round of Euro-2024 (U-17) is scheduled for December 7. Our team will be in the fourth pot.

Matches at this stage will take place in eight groups in March 2024. They will determine fifteen teams that join Cyprus in the final tournament, which will run from May 20 to June 5.
