Today in Hamburg, the UEFA Executive Committee approved the prize money distribution system for teams participating in the final tournament of Euro 2024, which will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14.

Euro 2024 Prize Money

The total amount for distribution among participating teams is €331 million. The cost of participation is €9.25 million, a bonus per match is €1 million for a win and €500,000 for a draw, qualification to the round of 16 is €1.5 million, to the quarter-finals €2.5 million, to the semi-finals €4 million, the runners-up receive an additional €5 million, while the champions of Euro 2024 will get €8 million. The maximum amount a team-champion can receive if they win all three group matches is €28.25 million.

UEFA Nations League 2024/2025

The draw procedure and match schedule for the UEFA Nations League season-2024/2025 have been approved. The draw will take place on February 8, 2024, in Paris at Maison de la Mutualité.

UEFA Women's Club Competitions

The UEFA Executive Committee has approved a new format for the UEFA Women's Champions League consisting of a tournament stage with 18 teams playing three home and three away matches followed by further knockouts, as well as the creation of a second European competition for women’s clubs. The changes will come into effect from the season-2025/2026.

Euro 2025 Women's Tournament

The tournament schedule has been approved at eight venues in Switzerland, hosting matches from July 2 to July 27, 2025 (Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Sion, St. Gallen, Thun and Zurich). The opening match and final will take place in Basel.

Euro Women's Futsal

Following the launch of the first women’s World Cup in 2025, it was decided to cancel the Euro tournament for 2024-2025 and introduce a four-year cycle with the next final tournament in 2027.

In addition, the number of teams participating in the final tournament will be increased from four to eight.

Euro 2026 Futsal

Latvia and Lithuania were appointed as co-hosts for the Euro 2026 futsal final tournament, with matches taking place in Riga and Kaunas.

The next UEFA Executive Committee meeting will take place on February 7, 2024, the day before the upcoming 48th UEFA Congress in Paris.
