President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a new powerful support package from Germany and his talks with President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of Moldova Maia Sandu.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Just had a meeting with the German Minister of Defense, and he visited not only Kyiv today but also regions of our country — supporting our soldiers, all our people. I am grateful for this.

We have a new powerful support package from Germany — it is military support, one billion three hundred million euros, and among other things in this package — strengthening our air defense systems, specifically — production of new IRIS-T systems and missiles for air defense. Thanks to this, our cities, thousands of lives of our people will be saved from Russian terror. It is very important that this package also includes the artillery we need — a truly serious package. Germany is among the leaders in supporting our defense, our country, and peace throughout Europe.

We discussed with Minister Boris Pistorius the situation on the battlefield now, our cooperation, including joint arms production — everything that will help protect both Ukraine and all of Europe.

Today in Kyiv were President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of Moldova Maia Sandu. On the tenth anniversary of the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity, this is particularly symbolic — the main topic was our integration into the European Union — both Ukraine and Moldova. Our country is doing everything necessary to start accession negotiations in reality. All decisions we needed to make have already been made. And now we will even take those that should have been taken by spring — that is, according to the schedule after the EU's political decision to start negotiations. Ukraine has a clear position — to implement everything, be fully ready for the start of negotiations because this is very concrete for us: every success of our country adds confidence and motivation to our people, everyone who defends Ukraine, everyone who helps us.

Today we discussed how we move forward, and, of course, it is extremely important that the European Union fulfills its promise by adopting a decision for Ukraine, giving us the start of negotiations. I am grateful to President of the European Council Charles Michel and all partners in Europe for their support — now is the time to strengthen solidarity.

A good meeting was with President Maia Sandu — we discussed the entire spectrum of our relations. And a special emphasis, of course, on how we can strengthen our economies and security. We talked about our exports, about interaction in the triangle Ukraine-Moldova-Romania. I thank you, Maia, Madam President, for your sincerity and willingness to strengthen our relations. Ukraine and Moldova together — together with all of our partners — can add growth and social justice not only for our countries but also for our entire region.

And one more thing.

Today here, in the Mariinsky Palace, I honored our paratroopers with state awards — today is their professional day, Airborne Forces Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our powerful soldiers, our strong combat brigades… I thank each soldier for everything you do for Ukraine and Ukrainians, I thank all commanders who protect the lives of soldiers, I thank everyone and every woman who helps defend our country and people and brings closer the expulsion of occupiers.

The Ukrainian people know how to achieve their goals. When we all fight exactly for this — exactly for Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine!"
