Ukraine national team defender Vitaliy Mykolenko shared his thoughts at the beginning of the national team's preparation for their Euro 2024 qualifier match against Italy.

Yesterday, players from Ukraine's national team gathered in Gdansk, Poland, and began preparing for the decisive Euro 2024 qualifier game against Italy. Defender of the blue-and-yellow Vitaliy Mykolenko talked about the emotions with which the players arrived at the national team's training camp.

"Everyone came in a good mood; positive emotions are very important for us. It doesn't matter how we played in our clubs, what the results were, because you always come to the national team with good feelings. So far, there have been no jokes about recent achievements, but I think when everyone gathers next, they will be.

Not all have arrived yet; there was theory presented and new players introduced — Maxim Taloviyev, Danylo Sykan hasn't been called up in a long time, Vladyslav Dubynchak is coming. We talked about our plan for the training camp.

My goals in recent matches? I don't know how it happened. I already said in an interview with my club that in every match, I try to show my best. As you can see, I'm scoring, there are moments when I try to take advantage of them.

Thank God everyone is healthy. Among the foreign-based players, perhaps only Serhiy Kryvtsov was not called up. I am very happy for those players who have been showing class in Europe lately. Congratulations to all the footballers," — said Vitaliy Mykolenko.
