The first day of the training camp — this is always the time when blue-and-yellow gather at the main team's camp from all over.

This morning early, players from "Shakhtar" and "Dnipra-1," who faced each other on the field of "Arena Lviv" yesterday, left the capital of Galicia for the airport in Rzeszów, where they met with the administrative and medical staff of the team to fly to Gdansk. Meanwhile, Kyiv Dynamo players, who played against "Kryvbas" yesterday, failed to catch the train from Kryvyi Rih to Kyiv on time. So, the Kyivans left the capital this evening and will arrive at the meeting place tomorrow by a regular flight from Warsaw.

At the same time, the main group of national team players has already gathered in the capital of Pomeranian Voivodeship. At Gdansk Airport terminal, passengers from Rzeszów charter flight were met by our "Englishmen" — Oleksandr Zinchenko, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Mykhailo Mudryk and Illia Zabarnyi, as well as the "Belgian," Serhiy Sydorchuk. About 40 minutes later, leaders of Spanish La Liga arrived — Artem Dovbyk and Viktor Tsygankov, followed by Anatolii Trubin, Ruslan Malinovskyi and debutant for the national team Maxim Talovev. Gradually in the hotel where blue-and-yellow will stay for a week, all Ukrainian players gathered — slightly later Roman Yaremchuk arrived.

The first training took place today at the old "Lechia" stadium, known to the public as "Stadium on Traugutta" (after the name of General Romuald Traugutt Street where it is located). The local club played its matches here for 66 years — from 1945 until 2011 when the "Gdansk Arena" was built to host Euro-2012. The stadium hosted legendary matches, including a European Cup tie between Lechia and Turin's Juventus, which drew an audience of record at that time of 40 thousand spectators (despite the official capacity being no more than 12 thousand). Nowadays "Traugutt" is part of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center and also one of the training fields in Lechia’s club infrastructure.

Tonight's evening training on the stadium was attended by nine players who played their matches no later than Saturday, as well as Yegor Nazarina, who did not participate in yesterday's Shakhtar match. After a run and warm-up, the boys worked in the square, after which they went to the hotel for fitness work. By the way, the rest of the national team players were working today precisely in the gym.
