To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on October 31, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fifteenth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Russian occupiers continue to ignore laws and customs of war, use tactics of terror, carry out missile and air strikes, and shell both military and civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

Over the past day, 36 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out seven missile and ninety air strikes, conducted eighty-two shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers against our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.

In addition, last night Russian occupiers carried out another attack on Ukraine, using two Shahed-136/131 strike drones and one guided air-to-surface missile X-59. The forces and means of anti-aircraft defense destroyed all enemy drones.

Air strikes by Russian occupiers were carried out in Stogny, Petro-Pavlivka, Senkove, Pereshchepene (Kharkiv region); Seredynskyi forest district, Sporne, Vyymaka, Andriyivka, Kurdyumivka, Arkhangelske, Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Stepole, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Severne, Orlovka, Mariinka, Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, Novomikhailivka, Vuhledar (Donetsk region); Novodaryvka, Novodanilivka, Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia region); Novobereislav, Zmiyivka, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Berislav, Mykolaivka, Antonivka, Tyaginka (Kherson region).

Under artillery fire from Russian aggressors were more than 110 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «North» on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

In the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the populated area of Synkivka in Kharkiv region, where our defenders repelled two attacks.

In the Lyman direction the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions near Klyshchyivka, where our defenders repelled three attacks. Forces of Ukraine's defense continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating on gained lines.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Tavria» on the Avdiivka direction, occupiers do not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka, but our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the enemy in the areas of populated places Avdiivka, Tonikane, Pervomaiske in Donetsk region, where forces of defense repelled more than five attacks.

In the Mariinka direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Here Ukrainian soldiers repelled over fifteen attacks by aggressors.

In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions our defenders repelled an attack by the enemy near Staromajorskoye in Donetsk region.

At the same time, forces of Ukraine's defense continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Odessa» on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery battles, delivering fire strikes against the rear of the enemy.

On October 27, Russian terrorists in Kreminna conducted so-called counter-reconnaissance measures to check documents and search private homes, farm buildings, and cellars. The Russian occupiers carried out this verification because they received information about the penetration into Kreminna of several Ukrainian special reconnaissance groups.

Over the past day, aviation of forces of defense delivered 19 strikes against areas of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment, one more — against an air defense missile system of the enemy. Also, anti-aircraft defense of Ukraine destroyed twelve strike drones, two guided air-to-surface missiles, and six reconnaissance drones.

Subunits of rocket forces struck at means of air defense, five areas of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment, nine artillery systems, and another six important targets of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy over the past day amounted to: 870 occupiers, 21 tanks, 29 armored combat vehicles, 25 artillery systems, 10 MLRS, three air defense means, twenty-one tactical-level drones, two cruise missiles, thirty-five vehicles and two units of special equipment.
