Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on October 7, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and ninety-first day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to defend on the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine, conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, and carry out offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction. They destroy the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, consolidating their positions at the achieved lines.

Yesterday, Russian forces carried out another missile strike on a civilian object in the central part of Kharkiv city. As a result of these terrorist acts, two people died and 30 others were injured. Sixty-one apartment buildings, seventeen private houses, and ten objects in the social and utility sphere were damaged.

During the past day, there were thirty-four combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out three missile strikes and sixty-seven air raids, conducted forty-six artillery attacks on both our military positions and civilian objects of our country. Private residential buildings and other civil infrastructure suffered damage.

Air raids hit Ivanivka, Podol, Synykhivka, Petrovavlivka, Pisky-Radykivskyi in Kharkiv Oblast; Bila Hora in Luhansk Oblast; Spere, Vesela, Klychyiivka, Andriyivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodyane in Donetsk Oblast; and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

More than one hundred populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

In the North-Eastern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Synykhivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv Oblast. In the Lyman direction, the Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks east of Makеivka, Luhansk Oblast. The enemy unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions south of Andriyivka, Donetsk Oblast. Our forces continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, causing losses in manpower and equipment to the enemy, consolidating at achieved lines.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka and Mariupol directions, the enemy conducted more than ten unsuccessful attacks around Mariupol and Novomykhailovka, Donetsk Oblast. In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks near Vuhledar, Zolotoe Niva, Staromayorskoe, Donetsk Oblast, and north of Pryyutne, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders are holding off the enemy in the area northeast of Novoprokopivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The Armed Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction. They have partial success north of Kopan and northeast of Novoprokopivka. During the course of offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction, they had partial success east of Andriyivka, Donetsk Oblast. Our soldiers are inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on occupying forces, consolidating at achieved lines and exhausting the enemy.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" in the Kherson direction, the Armed Forces conduct counter-battery fire, destroy depots, and successfully target the rear of the enemy.

During the past day, aviation of the Armed Forces carried out thirteen strikes on areas of personnel concentration, weapons, and military equipment, as well as three — on air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops struck a command post, anti-aircraft weapon, six artillery pieces, an area of personnel concentration, and a radio-electronic station of the enemy.

In total, the enemy lost: 610 occupiers, 23 tanks, 20 combat armored vehicles, 22 artillery systems, two MLRS, one anti-aircraft weapon, twenty-seven tactical drones, fifty-eight vehicles and five units of special equipment.
