President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the Russian terrorists' missile strike on a village in Kharkiv region and our main message to the world.

"Dear Ukrainians,

We are concluding this long and intense day. The day of the European Political Community summit. Many meetings, important negotiations.

We will have more PPOs - clear agreements. This is very important before winter. Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Britain - thank you!

There will be more artillery for our soldiers. There will be more long-range weapons. And there definitely will be more justice.

Today Russian terrorists delivered an attack that even beasts would not call beastly. For it would be an insult to beasts. A deliberate missile strike on a village in Kharkiv region, on a regular grocery store and café. Russian military could not have failed to know where they were hitting. And this was no blind strike. People had gathered there for a memorial dinner. A Christian memorial dinner. Who could have launched the rocket at them? Who? Only absolute evil.

Over 50 people died. Among them, a child, a boy, six years old. My condolences to all who lost loved ones...

The injured are receiving necessary help. And I am grateful to everyone and every woman who helps.

In this village, which Russia hit, there were generally about 500 residents before the war. But now - during the war - people have been leaving. This is the Kupyansk district, one of those areas where it's especially tough on the front line. And as of today, in the village there was slightly more than 300 people. Over 50 killed out of 300 residents. This is a brutal genocidal aggression by Russia. There are no words or papers capable of stopping such evil.

But there is PPO. There is artillery. There are our missiles. There is our armored equipment. There are our powerful soldiers who repel Russian assaults and advance themselves. There are our intelligence services. There is Ukrainian reconnaissance. There are sanctions from the world. Sanctions against Russia for terrorism. There is international justice, including the International Criminal Court capable of defending justice.

Russian terror must lose. And the world has what it takes to ensure this.

The main thing - unity. The main thing - believe in freedom and protect life.

Today our main message to the world is that evil does not have the right to prevail. And only now, only in Ukraine can this principled moral stance be upheld. But all together!

I thank each leader of partner countries for today's meetings! I thank for clear support from the European Union and the European Parliament.

Thank you, Spain, for giving us all the opportunity to strengthen European unity today.

Unity is the answer. We will do everything to preserve it!

Glory to Ukraine!"
