The Ukrainian U-18 national team (players born in 2006) concluded their training camp by participating in the Václav Ježek International Tournament, which took place in the Czech Republic. The results of the team's performance, which secured third place at the tournament, were summarized for the official website of the UAF by the head coach of the blue-and-yellow squad, Yuriy Moroz.

"We are satisfied with the work done," said Yuriy Leonidovich. "I saw that the boys are improving, becoming stronger and better, more radiant. The team is starting to play a more mature game, thinking more during the match."

"Was the loss in the first match against the Americans due to starting from scratch?"

"That also happened, but over three matches we gave everyone on the team a chance to play, and during episodes where goals were conceded, individual defensive plans showed signs of error. It seemed that there wasn't the spirit that the coaching staff had hoped for. However, control of the ball was weak at first, but with time things gradually fell into place."

"Vladyslav Kaliy became our team's top scorer. But he is a half-back...

"Absolutely correct. I'm glad that almost all the players in the attacking line managed to make an impression. The team didn't sit back defensively but tried to attack, threaten the opponent's goal, and implement pre-planned schemes."

With Sergiy Rebrov taking up the position of head coach of the national team, our vertical structure for all national teams is being disciplined. A direction has been chosen, and we are trying to follow it.
