Today, the Ukraine youth team (players born in 2006) played their last match at the Václav Ježek tournament. After conceding a goal early on, thanks to goals from Ponomarenko and Zhdanov, they managed to turn the tide of the game around. However, the Slovaks equalized after our own goal. The Ukrainians eventually secured victory in injury time by exploiting their opponent's fatal mistake. Kalyn scored the winning penalty at 90+2 minutes. Final score: 3-2.
