After two September qualifiers for the 2024 European Championship against England (1:1) and Italy (1:2), significant changes occurred in the top-30 of the historical table of guardsmen for Ukraine's national team.

The match against Italy was Andriy Yarmolenko's 116th appearance for the blue-and-yellow. The captain renewed his own record.

Taras Stepanenko increased his tally of matches in our national team to 79 and got closer to Evgen Konoplyanka (87 games), who holds seventh place in the registry.

Mykhailo Matviyenko (59 games) moved up to a clean 15th position, surpassing Evgen Seliznyov and Oleksandr Holovko, whom he then caught up with Sergiy Sydorchuk (all three have 58 matches).

Oleksandr Zinchenko equalized in the number of games played for Ukraine's national team with Ruslan Malinovskyi (both have 55 meetings) and now the half-backs share the 22nd position in the registry.

The two September matches allowed Viktor Tsygankov to catch up with Andriy Rusol (49 games each) and split the 30th place with him.

Finally, a small milestone was marked by Roman Yaremchuk: now he has 45 matches for the blue-and-yellow on his record, which allows him to position himself near the top-30.

Of course, it's worth noting the sole debutant in the national team for September: the match against England was the first one for midfielder Yegor Nazarini.
