Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10.00 on September 12, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 30 combat engagements.

The enemy carried out 10 missile and 53 air strikes, conducted over 56 artillery shelling of both our military positions and civilian objects in our country. The adversary continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employing the Kremlin's typical tactic of terror. Sadly, as a result of such terrorist acts by Russian occupation forces, there are casualties among civilians, destroyed residential buildings, damaged civil infrastructure. In particular, peaceful residents of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region were affected by cynical missile strikes.

Yesterday, Russia attacked our country with 12 kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. All 12 strike unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by the forces and means of Ukraine's air defense system.

The operational situation on the east and south of Ukraine remains quite complex.

In the area of responsibility of the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Forces "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Leonivka, Chernihiv region. Conducted over 15 artillery and mortar shelling of civilian infrastructure and population in frontline areas.

In the area of responsibility of the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Forces "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions, the enemy carried out air strikes near Synikivka, Ivanivka in Kharkiv region, Nadyye, Novoyegorivka, Dibrova, Bilohirka in Luhansk region. The occupiers do not give up attempts to break through the defense of Ukraine's Armed Forces in areas around Novoselivskiy in Luhansk region, Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Klyshchyvka in Donetsk region. Over 15 settlements suffered from numerous artillery and mortar shelling.

In the area of responsibility of the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Forces "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out air strikes near Avdiyivka, Prichystevo, Urozhaynoye, Stary Mayorovskiy in Donetsk region. Over 15 settlements suffered from numerous artillery and mortar shelling. The occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through our defenders' defense in areas around Avdiyivka, Mariupol, Novomikhailivka in Donetsk region.

On the Orilsky direction, the enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmakha, Omelyanka, Robotino and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhya region. Over 20 settlements suffered from numerous artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Melitopol direction, defensive forces continue offensive operations, inflicting significant losses to enemy personnel and equipment. In turn, the adversary attempts to restore its units by continuing multiple assaults on our positions. Ukrainian warriors bravely hold their defense, repelling over 10 attacks of the enemy in areas around Robotino and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhya region. Had some success south and southeast of Robotino, consolidating at gained lines.

In the area of responsibility of OSUV "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out air strikes in areas around Otradnyakamyanka in Kherson region and Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region. Over 10 frontline settlements suffered from numerous artillery and mortar shelling. Defensive forces continue to conduct counter-battery warfare, destroying supply points and inflicting damage on the enemy in its rear.

During the past day, aviation of defensive forces carried out seven strikes against areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of invaders.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery and unmanned systems inflicted damage on 12 artillery systems, one area of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy, one command post, and one ammunition depot.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to a total of: 550 occupiers, eight tanks, eleven armored combat vehicles, thirty-three artillery systems, four MLRS, three air defense systems, seventeen tactical drones, forty-three vehicles and four units of special equipment.
