The head coach of England, Gareth Southgate, commented on the course of today's Euro-2024 qualifier match against Ukraine (1:1):

"This was a very difficult game for us. We controlled the ball 70% of the time, but we didn't do enough in the final third of the field. We earned an important point under tournament conditions where competition is fierce."
