First Vice President of the Ukrainian Football Association Vadim Kostyuchenko spoke to the UAF press service about the situation surrounding preparations for the Euro-2024 qualifier match between Ukraine and England.

"Unfortunately, once again, the Ukrainian national team cannot play at home, but we thank Poland for becoming our home ground again! I won't reveal all my cards, but during the match there will be actions to express gratitude to our Polish friends — and this is just one way of conveying our warm feelings towards Poles for their help!

It can already be said that a sellout is expected at the stadium in Wroclaw during our match against England. The quota of 3,500 tickets for England has been sold out long ago, and sales of other tickets are also nearing completion: as of Friday morning, 35,000 had already been sold. Each person who takes a seat will receive the national flag of Ukraine — this will help create an atmosphere of a home match for our team.

It has become a tradition to allocate part of the seats for internally displaced children from regions in Ukraine where military actions are taking place. And it is these children who will lead out the players onto the field. Honored guests on the stands will also be our defenders undergoing rehabilitation after injuries sustained in Poland and Germany, members of families of fallen heroes…

Ahead of the match between national teams, a football game is planned between supporters from Ukraine and England. And besides this, under the auspices of the Kherson Regional Football Association and the Football Association of AR Crimea and Sevastopol with the support of UAF, a charity tournament "Kherson and Crimea — This Is Ukraine" will be organized in Wroclaw, which will involve 16 teams formed from Ukrainians living in Poland. The matches of the tournament will take place near the stadium where the national teams play, so all participants will also occupy seats on the stands during the match between Ukraine and England to support the team of Serhiy Rebrov," — said Vadim Kostyuchenko.
