Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 6, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and sixty-fifth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

Last night, the enemy launched another attack on Ukraine with air- and ground-based missiles as well as strike drones. Our defenders destroyed 23 aerial targets.

During the past day, the adversary carried out 40 aviation strikes and conducted 51 artillery attacks from rocket systems against our troops' positions and populated areas.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The likelihood of missile and aviation strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the day, 28 combat encounters took place.

On the Volynsky and Polesky fronts, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky fronts, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Sidorovka, Sumy region, and Veterinarian — Kharkiv region. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of over 25 populated areas, including Karpovichi, Gremyach, Chernihiv region, Znoba-Novgorodskoe, Starikove, Pokrovka, Oleksandrivka, Sumy region, and Shevchenko, Starytsia, Hatishe, Plytenivka, Nesterne, Budarki Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk front, defensive forces repelled enemy attacks in the Novoselyvsky area of Luhansk region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Petro-Pavlivka and Krokhmalnoye on Kharkivshchyna. The adversary continues to carry out artillery and mortar shelling of populated areas, among them Masutivka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kislivka, Tabayivka, and Pyschanе Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman front, defensive forces repelled enemy attacks in the Novoyegorivka area of Luhansk region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Bihorivka, Luhansk region, Torsky, Severskaya, Spirnoye Donetsk region. The adversary continues to carry out artillery and mortar shelling of populated areas, among them Nevske, Bihorivka, Luhansk region, and Torskoye, Dronivka, Seversk, Verkhnyokamyans'kе, Spirne, Hryhorivka Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut front, defensive forces repelled enemy attacks in the Zaliznyanskoye, Klyshchivka, White Mountain areas of Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Klyshchivka Donetsk region. Over 20 populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling by the adversary, among them Vasyukivka, Novomar'kove, Bakhmut, Stupochki, White Mountain, Zalizne Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivsky front, the enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Avdiyivka Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling by the adversary, among them Novoaleksandrivka, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Severne, Pervomaiskе, Nevelske Donetsk region.

On the Marinka front, defensive forces continue to hold back Russian troops' advance in the area of Marinka. The enemy carried out an aviation strike near Krasnogorivka. Artillery shelling by the adversary was endured by populated areas such as Krasnogorivka, Marinka, Georgiyivka, Pobeda, Novomikhaylivka, Yelizavetovka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsky front, the adversary carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Vuhledar and StaroMayorovsky. Over 10 populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling by the adversary, among them Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Shakhterske, Zolotaya Niva, Velika Novosilka, Blagodatne, Urozhayne Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhya front, defensive forces repelled enemy attacks in the area of Robotino, Zaporizhzhya region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmakha, Robotino, Orikhovo Zaporizhzhya region. Over 15 populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling by the adversary, among them Chernaya Krynytsia, Mala Tokmacha, Robotino, Novodanilivka, Orikhiv Zaporizhzhya region.

On the Kherson front, the enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Mikhailovka, Kherson region. Over 15 populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling by the adversary, among them Mikhailivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivka, Kherson Kherson region.

At the same time, Ukrainian defensive forces continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol front, consolidate on achieved lines, and carry out counter-battery measures.

The aviation of the defensive forces carried out 11 strikes during the day against areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two — against enemy air defense missile systems.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted one area of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 14 artillery means on firing positions, one ammunition depot, and one air defense missile system of the adversary during the day.

Overall, the estimated losses of the enemy over the past day amounted to: 610 occupiers, eight tanks, twelve armored combat vehicles, thirty-six artillery systems, one MLRS, one anti-aircraft weapon, seven tactical drones, fifteen vehicles and units of special equipment.
