Today, September 4, the youth national team of Ukraine begins its gathering in preparation for two matches — a friendly against Germany and an opening match in the Euro-2025 (U-21) qualification round with Northern Ireland.

The next qualifying cycle for the European Championship will see the Ukrainian youth national team (players born in 2002 or younger), led by Spanish coach Unai Melgosa, start on September 12 with a home match against the Northern Irish. This game will take place in Slovakia at the National Training Center of Poprad's pitch (kick-off at 7:30 PM Kyiv time). Also in Group F, besides these two teams, England, Serbia, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg will participate.

As part of their preparation for the Euro-2025 (U-21) qualification round, the blue-and-yellow team will play a friendly match against Germany's youth national team. The game will take place on September 8 at the Ludwigspark Stadium in Saarbrücken (kick-off at 7:15 PM Kyiv time).

Earlier, head coach of the blue-and-yellow team Unai Melgosa announced the names of 23 players called up for the September gathering. However, later changes were made to the list — instead of Konstantin Vovcharenko and Oleh Ocheretek, Andriy Buliza and Kiryl Sygeev were invited to join the team.

Gathering location — in Poprad

On September 3, part of the team traveled from Kyiv to Uzhhorod, where players from "Ruh" also arrived after playing against "Metalist 1925" in Lviv on Sunday. Today morning, the delegation of Ukraine's youth national team departed for Poprad, where they will prepare for their upcoming matches. Foreign-based players will join the camp throughout the day. The first training session will start at 6:30 PM local time. The flight to Germany is scheduled for September 6 at 2:20 PM.
