Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 29, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and fiftieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

Forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Melitopol directions.

On the Novodanylivka — Verbove direction, there were successes, they are consolidating at the achieved lines, delivering artillery fire against identified targets of the enemy, conducting counter-battery measures.

On the Bakhmut direction, forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct offensive actions south of the city of Bakhmut and are consolidating on the achieved lines.

During the past day, the enemy delivered eight missile strikes and 47 air raids, carried out 39 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against our troops' positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Residential buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the past day, 32 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Popivka, Slavgorod Sumy region, and Veterinary Kharkiv region. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of more than 25 populated areas, including Karpovychi, Kamien Cherkasy region; Volfino, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Obodi, Seredina-Buda, Novodmitrovka, Popivka, Stukalivka Sumy region and Mala Vovcha, Zhibine, Ohrymovka, Vilkhuvatka, Veterinary Kharkiv region.

On the Kupiansky direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Ivanivka and Kislivka Kharkiv region. The populated areas of Kislivka, Kolodyazhne, Berestevo Kharkiv region suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Novoyegorivka, Tverdokhlibove, Bihorivka Luhansk region; Torisky, Spirny Donetsk region. The populated areas of Nevsko, Bihorivka Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamianske, Torisky, Spirno, Rozdolyvka Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Bogdanivka, Klyschiyevka, New York Donetsk region. More than 15 populated areas were affected by enemy artillery shelling, including Pryvillya, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klyschiyevka, Oleksandr-Shultyne, Toretsk, Druzhba Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivsky direction, the enemy delivered an air strike in the area of Avdiyivka and shelled with artillery and mortars the populated areas of Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Severne, Pervomaisk Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction, forces defending Ukraine continue to hold back Russian troops' advance in the area of Mariupol Donetsk region. The enemy delivered an air strike in the areas of Krasnogorivka and Konstantynivka Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected populated areas such as Krasnogorivka, Mariupol, Pobeda, Novomikhailivka, Katerynovka, Yelizavetovka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Vodyany, Novosilky, Blagodatny Donetsk region. The populated areas such as Vuhledar, Vodyane, Maximivka, Prechystyvka, Zolotaya Niva, Blagodatne, Urozhayne Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

On the Zaporizhzhya direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Robotino and Novodanylivka Zaporizhzhya region. More than 25 populated areas were affected by enemy artillery shelling including Novodaryivka, Poltavka, Hulaypilske, Pyatykhatskye, Charyvne, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske, Plyavyne Zaporizhzhya region.

On the Kherson direction, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Mykolaivka and Olghivka Kherson region. The populated areas such as Kherson, Sadove, Stanislav Kherson region and Ochakiv Nikolaev region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

During the past week, recently mobilized Russians arrived in temporarily occupied Donetsk. Most of them are former labor migrants who once came for work and carelessly obtained Russian passports. According to their own words, they were mobilized practically by force. Resettlement is taking place in houses where there are no owners.

Also, the Russian occupation administration in Donetsk received an order regarding the deployment of additional military hospitals for accommodating wounded Russian occupiers who are being brought to the city in large numbers. Office buildings and premises of enterprises will be handed over under the hospitals.

Russian occupants continue forced passportization of the population in temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. In the populated area of Chaplynka, the occupation administration demands that locals obtain Russian passports by September 1st this year. Failure to comply with this requirement is met with threats of confiscation of real estate property. Also since August 23rd this year, Russian oppressors are conducting raids for forced eviction from residences without registration of place of residence "according to Russian law" and appropriating their property.

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, Russian occupants have intensified measures aimed at identifying Ukrainian activists and participants in the Ukrainian resistance movement who cooperate with Ukraine's special services. Occupants are disseminating announcements calling on people to identify and hand over information about suspicious individuals taking photos and videos near administrative and military facilities.

In Henichesk, located in temporarily occupied Kherson region, Russian occupants have equipped a detention facility in one of the rooms of the "Coral" pension home where they bring people suspected of cooperating with Ukraine's special services.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces carried out eight strikes against enemy personnel concentration areas during the past day, one — against a command post and three — against air defense missile systems.

Subunits of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on two command posts, one anti-aircraft weapon system and three artillery systems at firing positions during the day.

Overall, estimated enemy losses for the past day amounted to: 530 occupiers, 14 tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 25 artillery systems, three MLRS, one anti-aircraft weapon system, four tactical UAVs, four cruise missiles, 43 vehicles and 11 units of special equipment.
