To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 11, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The five hundred thirty-fourth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdyansk axes. They are consolidating at the achieved lines, delivering artillery fire strikes on identified targets of the enemy, carrying out counter-battery measures. On the Bakhmut axis, forces of defense are conducting offensive actions south of the city of Bakhmut.

During the past day, the enemy carried out five missile and 61 air strikes, conducted 70 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians, residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the day, 34 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Stepne, Kostiantynivka, Popasny, and Oleksandrivka of Sumy region. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling over 25 populated areas, including Klusy, Yelene, Bleshnya, Karpovychi Chernihiv region; Zarychche, Popasna, Timofiyivka, Stukalivka Sumy region and Udi, Huriyiv Kozatskyi, Odnorobivka, Strilecha, Ohrymovka and Stroyivka in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Nadia and south of Novoselivskiy of Luhansk region. Over 15 populated areas suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy, including Kamyanka, Rikodub, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kynrashyvka, Hlibivka, Kupiansk, Kislyvka Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Makieivka, Novosvitne, Bihorodok Luhansk region and Novomykhailivka Donetsk region. Populated areas of Novosvitne, Bihorodok Luhansk region and Torske, Verhnyokamyanske, Spirene, Rozdolyvka Donetsk region suffered from artillery shelling by the enemy.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Bogdanivka Donetsk region. Over 15 populated areas were affected by enemy artillery shelling, including Vasyukivka, Orhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bogdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Predtekhine, New York Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivka axis, under intense air and artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders continue to hold back Russian troops in the area of Avdiyivka Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Severny Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas suffered from artillery shelling by the enemy, including Oleksandropil, Ocheretyno, Novokalynove, Novoselivka First, Avdiyivka, Severne Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol axis, forces of defense continue to hold back Russian troops in the area of Mariinka city Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas suffered from artillery shelling by the enemy, including Krasnogorivka, Gostre, Georgiyivka, Paraskovyivka and Novomykhailivka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the area of Stary Mayorovsky Donetsk region. In the vicinity of this populated area, an air strike was delivered. Additionally, artillery shelling by the enemy affected Vodyane, Vuhledar, Bogoyavlenska, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, Velika Novosyilka, Blahodatne Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Mala Tokmak Zaporizhzhia region. Over 15 populated areas suffered from artillery shelling by the enemy, including Olhyvskoye, Chervone, Hulyaypole, Pyatykhatskyi, Kamianske, Plyavni Zaporizhzhia region and Nikopol Dnipropetrovsk region.

On the Kherson axis, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Kozatskyi Kherson region. Over 20 populated areas suffered from artillery shelling by the enemy, including Zolota Balka, Respublyanets, Chervoniy Mayak, Shlyakhove, Lvov, Kozatske, Antonivka and Velentsne Kherson region as well as the city of Kherson, and also Kutsubrub, Ochakiv, Dmitrivka Mykolaiv region.

Russian occupiers are conducting forcible mobilization of residents of temporarily occupied territories into their occupation army. Thus, for example, in Mielovo on the Luhansk region Russian oppressors are carrying out military census of citizens. In particular, occupiers force managers of various enterprises to provide them with lists of men born from 1996 to 2005 by August 18, 2023. And in Lazurne on temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region Russian units surrounded the central part of this village and are conducting harsh filtration measures. Entry and exit is only allowed upon permission.

The aviation of forces of defense carried out 10 strikes during the past day against areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two — against enemy air defense missile systems. Also, our defenders destroyed seven strike drones of the enemy type "Shahed-136" over the past day.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery during the past day damaged four artillery means on firing positions, two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two radio-electronic warfare stations and a communication node of the enemy.

Overall, over the past day Ukrainian warriors liquidated 580 Russian occupiers, destroyed 12 tanks, 15 armored combat vehicles, 15 artillery systems, two MLRS, two air defense means, 18 drones at the operational-tactical level, 16 cars and 10 units of special equipment.
