Based on the results of the 2022/2023 season, none of the three league winners expressed a desire to move up in class. Instead, the multi-year champion of the country — «Zhitlobud-1» (Kharkiv), retained its place for participation in the new championship.

The season project foresees the participation of 12 teams that will play in two stages. In the first stage, all teams will play a round-robin tournament according to the draw schedule. The sports indicators achieved during this stage will be preserved.

Based on the results of the first stage and depending on their positions in the standings, two groups of six teams each will be formed, which will conduct another two rounds (home/away) according to the approved schedule.

Group 1: Positions from 1st to 6th — will determine the champion and prize winners of the Premier League as well as two teams that will participate in the Women's UEFA Champions League-2024/2025.

Group 2: Positions from 7th to 12th — will determine the teams that remain in the Premier League.

The team that finishes in 12th place at the end of the Ukrainian Women's Premier League season-2023/2024 will move down to the First League. The teams finishing in 10th and 11th places will play two qualifying matches (home/away) with the third and second-placed teams from the First League, respectively.
