The Ukrainian Football Association has addressed UEFA with an official letter requesting that the presence of representatives from the country-aggressor in European football union bodies be considered.

The Ukrainian Football Association has sent an official letter to UEFA requesting to consider the situation regarding the presence of representatives from the aggressor country in European football union bodies.

The UAF points out that 15 Russians were elected and re-elected for positions in UEFA administrative bodies (committees, organs, panels) for the period from 2023 to 2027. And this is happening at a time when brutal war crimes are being committed by aggressors in Ukraine every day.

"To adhere to humanitarian values and justice inherent in the European football family, as well as to ensure consistency in UEFA's peacekeeping position regarding the involvement of Russian representatives in European football, we kindly request you to carefully consider the situation and process the possibility of removing representatives from a terrorist state from their duties at UEFA," — the UAF letter states.
