Women's League of Nations 2023/2024: the venue for the match between Ukraine and Serbia has been determined

On May 2nd, the national women's team of Ukraine learned the names of their opponents in the group stage of League B for the first-ever Nations League competition. The blue-and-yellow team will play in Group B3, where they will compete against teams from Poland, Serbia, and Greece.

On May 2, the national women's team of Ukraine learned the names of their opponents in the group stage of League B for the first-ever edition of the UEFA Nations League. The blue-and-yellow team will play in Group W3, where they will face teams from Poland, Serbia, and Greece.

The Ukrainian Football Association, with the support of the Polish Football Association, agreed with UEFA on the venue for Ukraine's home match against Serbia in the inaugural edition of the Nations League.

The first-round game between Ukraine and Serbia will take place on September 22 at the Kazimierz Deyna Municipal Stadium in the Polish town of Starogard Gdański. The start time of the match will be announced later.

It is worth noting that the second-round match between Poland and Ukraine will take place on September 26 (kickoff at 7 PM Kyiv time). The game will be held at the Municipal Stadium in Gdynia.

The two best teams in each group remain in League A for the European qualification of the 2025 Women's UEFA Euro.

Four teams that finished third will play against second-placed teams from groups in League B. Winners advance to League A; teams that lose will compete in League B.

League B

The four winners of the groups advance to League A.

Four teams that finished second will play against third-placed teams from groups in League A. Winners advance to League A; teams that lose will compete in League B.

Three best teams finishing third will play against three best teams finishing second in League C. Winners will remain in League B for the European qualification; teams that lose will compete in League C.

The team with the lowest ranking among those finishing third and four teams finishing fourth are relegated to League C.

How does the final stage of the Nations League proceed?

The four winners of the groups in League A advance to the final tournament, which will be played as a single-elimination knockout round. Participants will play semi-finals, finals and third-place match. A draw will determine semi-final pairings and hosts for all matches. The winner of the final becomes the UEFA Nations League trophy holder.

Who qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics?

Finalists of the UEFA Nations League advance to the women's Olympic football tournament along with France (host country). If France reaches the final, its place will go to the bronze medalist.

If a qualification spot goes to an association not recognized by FIFA as a participant in the women's Olympic football tournament, it will be passed on to the next best team that did not qualify for the finals.

Pairs are drawn and matches are played home and away. Teams finishing third in their groups are seeded and play at home.
