Ukraine started brilliantly in the first period, leading 2-0 by the fourth minute thanks to a goal by Guisado (own goal) and an excellent shot from Andriy Nershy. However, before the end of the twelfth-minute mark, Spain not only equalized with David's brace but also took the lead after Donya's strike.

The second period remained in our team's favor — Maxim Voytok scored, and no goals were scored in the third period — 3:3.
