President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a special format meeting — Ukraine plus African countries — and the military cabinet with commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Dear Ukrainians,

Today was a long day. Many events, many news items. A meeting in a special format — Ukraine plus African countries. Long discussions. Peace formula, security issues, grain, our shared opportunities to defend the principles and goals of the UN Charter, protect nations from aggression. I called on leaders and states of Africa to participate in the Global Peace Summit that we are preparing. Ukraine is heard around the world, and we will involve the entire world in implementing the peace formula. It's not easy, but we are working.

Today there was also a graduation ceremony at the National Defense University of Ukraine. I had the honor to greet our officers. Very pleasant.

Especially grateful to our air defense forces — everyone who is defending Ukrainian skies. Russian missiles shot down today, including six ballistic ones — this is very important and symbolic. Russia cannot intimidate anyone.

And there was another event on my schedule today, which has not been reported yet. This is the military cabinet. Our commanders — Generals Syrski, Tarnavskyi, Zaluzhnyi, Shaptała. And our commanders in specific areas of active operations — I will not name surnames for now, everything has its time. Our advance — this is the most important thing. Every soldier of ours, every new step we take, every meter of Ukrainian land liberated from the enemy — this is the most important thing. And there was Budanov. Separate steps.

Thank you to everyone who is now fighting for Ukraine!

Thank you to everyone who is preparing to enter battle!

And thank you to everyone who is helping us so strongly and powerfully!

Glory to Ukraine!

We will defeat them all!"
