To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on June 16, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred seventy-eighth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Last night, the Russian Federation launched another aerial strike on Ukraine — deploying two Iranian Shahed attack drones. All drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defenses.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out five missile strikes, using cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-555 and Kh-59. Additionally, it conducted over 60 aerial attacks and more than 80 shelling of positions of our troops and populated areas with multiple rocket launchers. Unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among the civilian population; industrial facilities in Kryvyi Rih Dnipropetrovsk region were damaged, as well as residential buildings and administrative infrastructure in Kherson.

The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes on all territories of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes — over 30 combat engagements took place during the past day.

On the Volyn and Polesie fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Sloboda fronts, the enemy carried out aerial strikes on Yanivlitsi, Halaganivtsi, and Archipivtsi in Chernihiv region. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas such as Karpovychi, Yanivlitsa, Halaganivka in Chernihiv region; Vintorivka, Seredyna-Buda, Rozhkovychi, Demianivka, Baranivka, Fotovyzh, Budilne, Bilkopitove, Stukalivka, Yskryskyvshchyna, Yastrubine, Basivka in Sumy region; Veternyne, Alysyvka, Staritsya, Ogireve, Hativshe, Plytenivka, Bochkove and Budarki in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk front, the enemy carried out an aerial strike near Veseloie and Berestevoe in Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Novomlyn, Masutyvka, Zapadne, Liman First, Kislivka in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske in Luhansk region.

On the Lyman front, over the day the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Stepanakhivka in Luhansk region and Viyimky, Veseloie, Rozdolovka in Donetsk region. Conducted aerial strikes near Raygorodok and Makievka in Luhansk region; Svyato-Pokrovskoye in Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected Stepanakhivka, Nevske, Bihorivka in Luhansk region; Yamopolovka, Torske, Dybrova, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene and Seriyebryanka in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut front, over the day the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Orikhovo-Vasylivka. Conducted aerial strikes near White Hill, North and Mayor'ska in Donetsk region. Areas affected by enemy artillery shelling include Vasukyvka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasyev Yar, Kalyinivka, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka, White Hill, Kostenkivka, Kramatorsk, Katerynivka and Pivdenne in Donetsk region.

On the Avdiivka front, the enemy carried out aerial strikes near Avdiivka. Conducted artillery shelling of areas around Keramik, Orlyvka, Avdiivka, Veseloie, Semenivka, Vodyane, Severne, Tonenne, Perevomayskoye, Yasnobrodovka, Karlivka, Zelanye First, Novokalinove and Nevelskoe in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol front, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks near Mariupol, Krasnogorivka, and Novomikhailovka. Occupants carried out aerial strikes near Novomikhailovka, Velyka Novosyilka, Malinivka, Maly Tokmachka and Blagodatny in Donetsk region. At the same time, the enemy shelled Krasnogorivka, Mariupol, Maximilianske, Pobedy, Novomikhailovka and Katerynivka with artillery.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the direction of Novomikhailovka and Vodyane in Donetsk region without success. Conducted aerial strikes near Blagodatny and Zolotoy Niva in Donetsk region. Shelled populated areas such as Blagodatne, Ugledar, Bogoyavlenskaya, Nova Ukraine, Zolotoy Niva, Shakhterske, Velyka Novosyilka and Novyy Komar in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the enemy continues to conduct defensive actions. Carried out an aerial strike with guided bombs near Kozatske in Kherson region. Conducted artillery shelling of populated areas such as Olhyvsky, Chervone, Tashishya, Hulyaypole, Zaliznyane, Bilyhor, Novoandriyivka, Preobrazhenka, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Osokorivka, Mikhailivka, Respublyanets, Berislav, Veseloie, Kozatske, Olhyvka, Otradkamianska, L'vove, Tyagynka, Tokaryvka, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Zelenyevka, Stepanivka, Chornobayivka, Kherson, Zimovnik, Bilyzereka and Kizomys in Kherson region as well as Ochakiv on Mykolaivshchyna.

Air forces of the defense carried out 13 strikes against enemy personnel concentration areas over the past day. Our defenders also destroyed 20 Iranian Shahed-131/136 attack drones, an operational-tactical level UAV "Orlan-10" and three reconnaissance UAVs.

Subunits of rocket forces and artillery during the past day struck two command points, a S-300 surface-to-air missile system, four areas of enemy personnel concentration and military equipment, three ammunition depots and seven artillery subunits on firing positions.
