To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on June 9, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and seventieth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun.

During the night from June 8 to June 9, 2023, between 10 PM and 4 AM, Russian occupiers carried out an attack on Ukraine using Iranian combat drones Shahed and cruise missiles of air-based origin Kh-101/Kh-55 (on military objects and critical infrastructure).

The launches of «Shaheds» were carried out from the southern direction, cruise missiles — from the Caspian Sea region, from four strategic bombers Tu-95ms.

During the attack, up to 16 combat UAVs and six air-based cruise missiles were launched.

With the forces and means of anti-aircraft defense, four cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-55, ten combat drones Shahed-136/131, «Lancet», and four tactical UAVs («Orlan-10» and Supercam) were destroyed.

Also around 8 PM on June 8, the enemy carried out attacks from the Black Sea with two «Kalibr» missiles against one of the civilian objects in Chernigiv Oblast.

During the past day, the enemy carried out seven missile and forty-three air strikes, conducted seventy-nine shelling operations using multiple rocket launchers on our troops' positions and populated areas. There are casualties among civilians.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes. Heavy battles are ongoing. During the past day, forty-three combat engagements took place in the mentioned sectors of the front.

On the Volyn and Polissya axes, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas with Ukraine, reinforcing the covering units along the border at the expense of territorial forces subunits. During the day that passed, the enemy carried out air strikes against populated areas of Myropillya, Synne, and Severinivka in Sumy Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas Seredyna-Buda, Atynske, Bezsalivka, Myropillya, Grabovske, Velyka Pysaryvka, and Ponomarenky in Sumy Oblast, as well as Krasne, Morokhovec, Lukyanets, Staritsya, Hativshche, Vochniansk, and Chugunivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy carried out an air strike near Kislivka. Artillery and mortar shelling was suffered by Kamianka, Krasne Pereche, Novomlynsk, Dvorychyna, Kislivka, Tabaiivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, during the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Veseloie in Donetsk Oblast. Artillery shelling was suffered by Makiivka, Nevsko, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Verkhnyokamianske, Torske, Spirene, Rozdolyvka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, during the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated areas of Orilhovo-Vasilivka, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Bila Hora. Carried out air strikes in the area of Bila Hora and Toretsk in Donetsk Oblast. Suffered from enemy artillery shelling Vasylkivka, Minkivka, Orilhovo-Vasilivka, Grygoriyivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Oleksandr-Shultyne, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Toretsk and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka axis, during the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful attempts to advance near populated areas of Severne and Opitne. Carried out air strikes in the area of Avdiivka. Conducted artillery shelling of populated areas Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonentse, Pervomaiske, Karlivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol axis, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the city of Mariupol. The enemy suffered losses. At the same time, the enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Mariupol, Pobedy and Novomikhaylivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy carried out an air strike near Velyka Novosilka, conducted shelling of populated areas Vuhledar, Shakhtyrske, Zolotaya Niva and Veremivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy continues to conduct defensive actions. Carried out air strikes in the areas of Novopolie in Donetsk Oblast; Hulyaypole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and Zamyivka, Berislav, Kozatske in Kherson Oblast. Conducted artillery shelling of populated areas Burlytske, Zelenoye Pole, Novosilka, Novopolie, Temirovka in Donetsk Oblast; Olgivske, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnye, Bilyhorod and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Berislav, Antonivka, Dniprovske in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

In temporarily occupied Crimea, particularly in Simferopol, there is a tendency among local media to suppress the fact of destruction by Russian occupiers of the Kakhovska HES and consequences of this catastrophe. It is known that the local occupation authorities are concerned about possible panic among the population.

In the southwestern part of temporarily occupied Donetsk, a «khakim» unit was noted. The occupiers are engaged in looting the civilian population in the mentioned city area and also filming staged videos about conducting combat operations. On June 6, as a result of an effective fire strike by the Defense Forces on the enemy's concentration area at a training camp, the enemy losses amounted to 56 people killed. Sanitary losses are being clarified.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 19 strikes in areas of enemy personnel concentration and two — against anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy during the past day.

Six combat and four reconnaissance UAVs of various types were destroyed.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on five command points, six areas of personnel concentration, armament and military equipment, two anti-aircraft missile systems, eight artillery subunits in firing positions and two more important enemy objects during the past day.

Overall, Ukrainian warriors liquidated 1010 Russian occupiers, destroyed ten tanks, twenty-four armored combat vehicles, thirty-four artillery systems, four MLRS, four air defense means, thirteen tactical UAVs, twenty-six vehicles and two units of special equipment.
