To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 13.05.2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred forty-fourth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun.

The Russian Federation does not abandon its plans for occupying our territory and continues to wage an aggressive war.

The enemy does not cease to deliver strikes, carry out air raids not only on military but also civilian objects. Over the past day, it delivered seven missile and 49 aviation strikes, carried out 81 attacks with multiple rocket launchers. For delivering missile strikes against Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Zaporizhzhia, it once again used S-300 air defense systems.

The likelihood of missile and aviation strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high as the enemy continues to employ a policy of terror.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. In total, over the past day, 47 combat engagements took place in these sectors, with Bakhmut and Marinka remaining at the epicenter of military action.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions the operational situation — without significant changes; signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected.

On the Northern and Slobodian Directions the enemy continues to maintain a military presence in border areas with Ukraine. Carried out mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas of Karpowychi, Medvedivka Chernihiv Oblast; Sohany, Volvino, Slavgorod, Popivka Sumy Oblast, as well as Chervona Zorya, Veterinarnoe, Glybokoye, Lipci, Staritsya, Ogireve, Gatishe, Vovchansk, Nesterne, and Veliky Burluk in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk Direction over the day the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position, carried out offensive actions towards Masutivka but was unsuccessful. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy were suffered by populated areas of Kamianka, Krasne Pereche, Mitrofanivka, Figolivka, Novomlynskyi, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kislivka, Tabayivka Kharkiv Oblast, and Stehlmahyvka Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman Direction over the past day the enemy carried out shelling of populated areas near the line of combat engagement, namely — Makieyivka, Bihorivka Luhansk Oblast, Seredynokamianskyi, Spirnoye Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut Direction the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. Continuous battles are taking place in the city of Bakhmut. In addition, over the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated areas of Orikhovo-Vasilivka, Hryhorivka and Stupochki. Carried out aviation strikes on the areas around the villages of Bogdanivka, Bakhmut and New York. The attacks by enemy shelling affected Vasylkivka, Fedorivka Second, Orikhovo-Vasilivka, Bogdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Pivdenne, Toretsk, Druzhba, Pivnichne and New York Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka Direction the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas around populated areas of Avdiivka and Vodiane. Carried out shelling of populated areas of Stepole, Avdiivka, Netaylove and Perevomayske Donetsk Oblast.

On the Marinka Direction units of the Defense Forces repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in the area around the city of Marinka. At the same time, populated areas of Gostre, Georgiyivka, Maximilianske, Marinka and Pobeda Donetsk Oblast suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction over the past day the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Carried out aviation strikes on areas around populated areas of Prechystivka and Velyka Novosilka. Carried out shelling of populated areas of Paraskevievka, Kostyantynivka, Novomikhaylivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka and Prechystivka.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Directions the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations. Carried out an aviation strike on areas around populated areas of Novopil Donetsk Oblast; Malynivka and Chervone Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Kizomys Kherson Oblast. Carried out shelling of populated areas near the line of combat engagement. Among them are Vremyvka, Novopil Donetsk Oblast; Malynivka, Hulyaypole, Bihorija, Novodanilyvka, Novoandriyivka, Novopavlivka, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Kozatske, Ivanivka, Sadove, Antonivka Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

In order to replenish losses in manpower for one of the enemy units operating in the Svatovo district of Luhansk Oblast, reinforcements arrived from among demobilized individuals. It is known that among the newly arrived personnel are servicemen who underwent treatment and rehabilitation due to mental disorders.

Recently, against a backdrop of significant losses, Russian occupiers have intensified counter-intelligence activities in temporarily occupied populated areas. In particular, there has been an increase in checkpoints and patrols in Yalta Donetsk Oblast. Representatives of the Russian commandant's office are searching for so-called «informants», conducting searches.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes over areas where personnel and military equipment were concentrated, as well as five strikes against enemy air defense systems during the past day.

Over the past day, our defenders shot down 22 enemy drones of various types.

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on two command posts, three areas where personnel were concentrated, seven artillery units in firing positions, an ammunition depot, as well as two radio-electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
