To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 11, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and fortieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out one S-300 missile strike on civilian infrastructure in Kostiantynivka, which is located in Donetsk. Additionally, it conducted 45 air strikes and launched 53 rocket attacks from multiple launch rocket systems against our troops' positions and populated areas in Kherson Oblast. Civilians were injured, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The likelihood of further missile and aerial strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high, as the enemy continues to employ tactics of terror.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions — 39 enemy attacks were repelled. The most intense battles are ongoing for the cities of Bakhmut and Mariupol.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions signs of forming offensive groups have not been detected. Certain units of Russian Federation armed forces remain on the training grounds of the republic of Belarus.

On the Northern and Slobodskiy Directions during the day, the enemy shelled populated areas in Blesnya, Leonivka, Krasnyi Hutyr Chernihiv Oblast; Bachivs'k, Khodyne, Boyaro-Lyzhachi, Volvynne, Bilovodi, Popivka, Pavlivka and Basivka Sumy Oblast as well as Veterinarnoye, Zeleno, Gatishe, Zybine and Budarki in the Kharkiv region with mortars and artillery.

On the Kupyansk Direction the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Carried out air strikes on areas of populated places Masutivka, Pervotravnene and Terny. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was suffered by Mykolayivka, Krasne Pereche, Figolivka, Novomlyn'sk, Dvorichna, Masutivka, Liman First, Kyslivka Kharkiv Oblast and Steyl'makhivka in Luhansk.

On the Lyman Direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around Serhiyivsky forest. Carried out air strikes on areas of populated places Bihorivka, Verkhnyokamyans'ke and Spirene. Artillery shelling was suffered by Makieivka, Bihorivka and Vesele Luhansk Oblast as well as Yamopolivka, Spirene and Beresteve — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut Direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the city of Bakhmut. Carried out air strikes on areas of populated places Torske, Bakhmut, Klyshchivka, Kurdyumivka and Bila Hora. From enemy shelling suffered Orilhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivs'ke, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Zalizne and New York Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka Direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around Avdiivka. Carried out air strikes on areas of Novokalinovo and Avdiivka. Conducted shelling of populated places Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Direction units of the Defense Forces repelled numerous attacks by the enemy around the city of Mariupol. At the same time, enemy shelling was suffered by Georgiyivka and Pobeda Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction during the day, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the area of Novomykhailivka without success. Carried out air strikes near Prichystyvka and Novosilka. Conducted shelling of populated places Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prichystyvka and Novoukrayinka.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson Directions the enemy is defending. Carried out air strikes on areas of populated places Hulyai Pole, Mala Tokmachka, Stebnogirskiy, Kizomys and Stanislav. Shelled populated places Vremivka, Novopil Donetsk Oblast; Malinivka, Hulyai Pole, Mykilske, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Kamianske Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Marhanets and Nikopol — Dnipropetrovsk; Dudchani, Berislav, Veselo, Antonivka, Dniprovske, Beregove, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Shiroka Balka, Stanislav Kherson Oblast as well as the city of Kherson.

Over the past three days, the Russian occupation administration «evacuated» nearly 300 local residents, including children, from temporarily occupied territories in Zaporizhzhya Oblast to Berdyansk.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out four strikes on areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration during the past day. During the last day, our defenders destroyed five enemy drones of various types. And units of rocket troops and artillery inflicted one air defense missile system, two areas of enemy manpower concentration, one ammunition depot, two artillery subunits in firing positions as well as an occupation radio-electronic warfare station.
