President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a meeting on strengthening sanctions regimes against Russia and about decisions we expect from the NATO summit in Vilnius.

A brief report on today's day.

First - military cabinet. This is special work with key commanders and those who ensure defense. It is clear that this is closed work, its details are not published. But just as with the General Staff meetings, the military cabinet also works regularly to synchronize our most important defensive and active actions.

Second - sanctions. I held a meeting on strengthening sanction regimes - both ours, Ukrainian, and joint with partners.

We carefully monitor how the state-terrorist tries to circumvent sanctions, we fix every such direction, work together with partners to block it. We are preparing a large sanctions package. Decisions will soon be made.

Third - international events. This May and the following months will be quite active for Ukraine on the international stage. There will be a lot of negotiation work, international events that strengthen our defense. Everything is being processed. I held several meetings today regarding planned activities this week and in the near future.

Fourth - I held a meeting with Prime Minister Shmyhal. Coordination, preparation for decisions. We are preparing conceptual security solutions for Ukraine's development, our infrastructure both now and after the war. We are also preparing for planned international meetings regarding reconstruction of Ukraine and relevant negotiations with partners.

And fifth - today's international meetings and talks.

Met with a delegation from Portugal's parliament led by its speaker. Productive.

Thanked for support of our country and people. The topic of discussion was quite broad, but the main thing is what unites us... This is security for all Europeans, stability, hence further development and strengthening of European and Euro-Atlantic community. In this context, I noted which decisions we expect from the partners' summit in Vilnius in July, NATO summit.

Spoke today with the President of the African Union and the President of Comoros Islands. An important conversation and significant mutual understanding. Thanked for support on global platforms, especially at the UN. Invited to join the implementation of our peace formula and assured that Ukraine is ready to be a reliable guarantor of food security. We are doing everything to eliminate any damage from Russian aggression both for our people and all our partners.
