To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 19, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred twentieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 4 rocket and 60 air strikes, conducted 58 artillery attacks with multiple launch rocket systems, and civilians were among those affected.

The likelihood of further missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

Main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions. During the past day, units of the Ukrainian defense forces repelled more than 60 enemy attacks on the specified front lines. The fiercest battles are being fought for Bakhmut and Mariupol.

On the Volynian, Polesian, Northern, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

During the past day, the enemy shelled populated areas in Hremincha of Chernihiv Oblast, Velyka Berizka, Korneyok, Boyaro-Lyachy, Iskriskivshchyna, Volvino and Rechy of Sumy Oblast, as well as Veterinarnoe, Kazacha Lopan', Glibokie, Vochnansky, Bochkove, Ohrymovka, and Nesternye in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk direction, enemy shelling was experienced by Kamianka, Ridkodub, Krasne Pereche, Novomlyn'skyi, Dvorychyna and Zapadne of Kharkiv Oblast during the past day.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to improve tactical positions, carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the populated area of Dybrova. Artillery shelling was experienced by Stehl'makhivka, Nev'ske, Hryhoriyivka, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Ivanivka, Tors'ke, and Spirene in Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions.

Fierce battles are ongoing for the city of Bakhmut. At the same time, our defenders repelled an enemy advance towards the populated area of Stupochki. Civilian casualties were reported in Vasukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhoriyivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Chasyv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk and New York in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka direction, during the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions around populated areas of Stepole, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaisk and Nevelske. Shelled populated areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonentse, Netaylove and Pervomaisk in Donetsk.

On the Mariupol direction, during the past day our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks around the populated area of Mariupol. At the same time, shelling was experienced by Krasnogorivka, Mariupol, Pobeda and Novomikhaylivka.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, during the past day the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Prechystyvky. Shelled populated areas of Vuhledar, Prechystyvky, Novoukrayinka and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to conduct defensive actions. At the same time, shelled populated areas near the line of contact during the day. Among them — Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhivske, Maliyevka, Chervone, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Orikhyv, Stepole and Plyavni in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Antonivka Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson. There are casualties among civilians.

On temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast Russian occupiers continue to mine localities, increasing defensive capabilities. Mines also affect water areas of rivers Konka and Dnipro. There have been cases of locals being blown up by enemy mines while trying to go into the water.

The Air Force of Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes against areas of concentration of personnel units and 2 strikes against air defense missile systems of the enemy during the past day. In addition, two reconnaissance drones ("Orlan-10" and "Superkam") were shot down as well as eight combat drones (7 — type "Shahed-136" and 1 — "Lancet").

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on three areas of concentration of manpower, a radio-electronic warfare station, and another important military object of the enemy.
