President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need to mobilize the world even more in support of our country and about strengthening NATO's eastern flank due to Finland's accession.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Just addressed the Chilean parliament — another country that has heard Ukraine, heard what we desire. It doesn't matter how far apart our peoples are. We equally value life and defend international order. We must deprive Russian fascism of even a glimmer of hope in Latin America.

Also addressed the governors of U.S. states — for the first time such a special address to elected representatives of each state. Thanked them for their support, emphasized how we can together with America not only win the ongoing battle but also prove that freedom and cooperation always restore normal life after aggression.

Conducted several international talks today, conversations with our partners.

Thanked Canada and personally Prime Minister Trudeau for their unwavering support. For another recent demonstration of it — financial aid amounting to 2 billion 400 million Canadian dollars that our budget has already received. Discussed the situation on the battlefield and security needs of our country in detail.

To drive the enemy off our land faster and thus end this war sooner, we must mobilize the world even more, our partners, all peoples who do not agree with the chaos that Russian aggression brings to the world.

Spoke with Ursula von der Leyen, Madam President of the European Commission. Our steps towards Eurointegration, joint measures we are preparing. The new EU sanctions package must continue the line of pressure on Russia, pressure to reduce its terrorist potential and threat.

By the way, today an historic event took place for our region, for all of Europe, for the entire Euro-Atlantic community. Finland is becoming the 31st member of NATO. The alliance is strengthening on its eastern flank.

I welcome the whole Finnish people and personally Mr President. With a reliable security guarantee — collective guarantee.

Russian aggression clearly proves that only collective guarantees, preventive guarantees can be reliable. This is exactly what we have always said. We also spoke about speed — the speed of security decisions matters. Now we see how fast procedures can be.

By the way, this year's NATO summit in Vilnius deserves to be ambitious enough. The more ambitious one who cherishes freedom is, the fewer opportunities for aggression there are for those who wish evil.

There will come a day when security for our country will also be guaranteed.

In constant contact with our commanders who stand against the state of evil on the battlefield. Today, we had a special format of our military council. General Sirskyi — about Bakhmut. Colonel-General Haidai — about the overall war situation. Ministry of Defense — about supplying ammunition and everything else needed by our defenders. Decisions are already being implemented.

Preparing for international events planned this week, which are important, bold, ambitious — as is customary for Ukraine.

Keeping the internal situation under control, especially regarding spiritual independence. We also guarantee that too. To break Ukraine neither from outside nor inside will not succeed in anyone's hands.

I thank everyone who fights for Ukraine! Avdiivka and Bakhmut, Marinka and Krasnogorove, every hot spot... Thank you to all of you, soldiers!

Thank you to everyone helping Ukraine!

Today I would like to highlight two decisions.

The U.S. is providing a defense support package worth 2 billion 600 million dollars. Ammunition for HIMARS, for air defense systems, for artillery — what we need. Thank you, Mr President Biden, thank you Congress. Thank you to every American!

And the second decision. The work of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry of the UN on Russian crimes against Ukrainians is being extended today. Every such international legal step brings Russians closer to inevitable justice.

Glory to Ukraine!"
