To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 4, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and fifth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes and 21 air raids, conducted 33 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high as the enemy continues to use terror tactics.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes. Thanks to coordinated actions by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the heroism of each soldier, 69 attacks by occupiers were repelled during the past day. The most intense fighting continues for populated areas such as Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol.

On the Volynian, Polesian, Northern, and Slobozhansky axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly; no signs of enemy offensive group formations have been detected.

Certain units of Belarusian armed forces continue to carry out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

The Russian Federation continues to use airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus, its military infrastructure. Preparations for units of the Russian Armed Forces are being carried out on Belarusian training grounds.

Enemy units remain in border areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions.

During the past day, the enemy shelled populated areas of Volynne, Zapsillya, and Myropillya in Sumy region as well as populated areas of Vovchansk, Vovchansky Hutori, Zybinoe, Voloikhivka, Rublene, and Vilkhuvatka in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk axis, enemy shelling affected populated areas of Kamianka, Petro-Ivanivka, Novomlynivsk, Dvorichna, Kutkivka, Zapadne, Masutyvka in Kharkiv region; Krokhmalne in Luhansk region and Terni and Serhiyanivka in Donetsk region.

On the Lyman axis, during the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations around populated areas of Nevskoie, Kremenna, Dibrova, and Serbiyansky Forest. Artillery shelling affected Makieivka, Nevskoie, Kremenna, Dibrova, Bihorivka in Luhansk region as well as Terni, Veseloye, Zvanivka, Spirene, and Rozdolovka in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy is attempting to take full control of the city of Bakhmut and continues its assault on it. Conducted unsuccessful offensive operations around populated areas of Orilovo-Vasilivka and Ivanivske. Units of the defense forces repelled 32 attacks by the enemy during the day in this sector of the front. Populated areas that suffered from enemy shelling include Vasylkivka, Orilovo-Vasilivka, Novomarokove, Bogdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Ozaryanivka, Dachne, Oleksandr-Shulhyni, Zalizne, and New York in Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivka and Mariupol axes, the enemy conducted offensive operations around populated areas of Novokalinove, Krasnogorivka, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiskoe, and Mariupol but did not succeed. At the same time, the enemy shelled populated areas of Avdiivka, Vodyane, Severne, Netaylove, Pervomaiskoe, Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariupol, and Pokrov in Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. For correcting artillery fire actively used UAVs. Shelled populated areas of Novomikhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystyvka, Zolota Niva, Velika Novosilka, and Veremivka in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy did not conduct active operations but was increasing defensive capabilities. Shelled populated areas of Olhyvskoie, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Bihor'ya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region as well as Antonivka in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

In some populated areas of Kakhovsky district in Kherson region, Russian occupiers continue to exert pressure on local residents. Thus, on April 2 this year, people were prohibited from leaving their dwellings and going out into the street. During the day, all public places were closed: shopping centers, stores, clinics, etc. In some villages of the specified district, pensioners are still suffering from the oppression of oppressors. To receive pensions, it is necessary to stand in line; money does not always suffice for everyone and not in full amount. At the same time, receiving social payments becomes more accessible with a certain reward.

The aviation of the defense forces carried out five strikes against areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration during the past day. Also, an enemy reconnaissance UAV was shot down, and our missile troops and artillery struck the area of enemy manpower concentration.
