President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, summarizing four hundred days of our defense against full-scale aggression and thanking everyone who shares our understanding of freedom.
"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!
Four hundred days... Four hundred days of our defense against full-scale aggression.
This is an enormous journey that we have undertaken. All together — each and every one who fought and continues to fight for Ukraine, who cares about the state and Ukrainians, who has helped and continues to help our logistics, who strengthened and continues to strengthen Ukrainian resilience.
Ukraine endured the most terrible days of that February. We survived this winter too. Colossal efforts behind these words...
We went through last spring, which changed the course of this war in favor of our defense.
Last summer and fall we demonstrated that the spring liberation of our northern regions was not a coincidence. The battle for Kyiv, Chernihiv, for Sumy... The return of areas of our Kharkiv region, the return of Kherson, the defense of Bakhmut and Donbas as a whole — this is the heroism of Ukrainians that the world will never forget.
We are preparing our next steps, our active actions. We are preparing for the approach of our victory.
What is Ukraine's strength? If your intentions are good, the whole world will be on your side and help you.
Today, on the four hundredth day of resistance, full-scale resistance, I want to thank everyone in the world who stands with Ukraine. Who shares our understanding of freedom. Who supports our desire for justice. Who has such a strong conviction as we Ukrainians do — that the world must be based on rules, civilized rules — on the rules of humanity, respect, and peace. That is why Ukraine will win.
For freedom and justice, humanity and respect, a just peace deserved by our people must triumph.
I thank all our soldiers and sailors, all our sergeants and non-commissioned officers, all our officers and generals. I thank everyone who holds this front — the front of defending the best in humanity. The front of defending what is ours with you — Ukraine.
United, unbreakable, and forever free.
I thank all those who are fighting now! I thank everyone who fights to protect themselves and their comrades on neighboring positions!
I thank everyone who cares for our brave warriors! I thank everyone who defends our cities and returns normal life where it was disrupted by Russia's aggression, its terror!
I also thank all those who help the children and sons, wives and husbands, mothers and fathers of our people, soldiers and civilians whose lives were taken by this war, by Russia!
Ukraine will win on the front. Ukraine will win in reconstruction. Ukraine will win in restoring justice.
We will leave no trace of Russia on our land. And we will not let any enemy go unpunished either. We are preparing news about this.
This day, like every one of the four hundred, was extremely active for me.
In touch with commanders, with intelligence. Meetings on internal situation. Another address to the parliament of a partner country — the Austrian Parliament. And I thank Austria for hearing Ukraine. A productive meeting with a delegation from the German defense conglomerate Rheinmetall... Thank you partners for your readiness to cooperate more closely with us.
Tomorrow will also be active. Extremely.
We will do everything to make that day come sooner when I can thank you, dear Ukrainians, for our victory!
Glory to Ukrainian heroes!
