To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 17, 2023 regarding Russia's invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred eighty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The Russian Federation does not abandon its intentions to occupy Ukraine and continues offensive operations, regardless of losses. Main efforts the enemy concentrates on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions. Over the past day, the enemy carried out more than 70 attacks in these areas.

Over the past day, the enemy inflicted five rocket and eighteen air strikes, as well as conducted seventy-three artillery shelling from multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of another strike on Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, six civilians were injured, over twenty houses, a school, and other civilian infrastructure objects were damaged.

The likelihood of Russian missile strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

On the Volyn, Polesie, Sever, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation — no significant changes. Formations for offensive operations by the enemy have not been detected. On the territory of Belarus, preparations continue for units of Russian occupation forces. Over the day, the enemy carried out shelling in the areas of Berelivka, Khrynyvka, Yeline and Timonovychi in Chernihiv Oblast; Starikove, Atinske, Volfin, Stebne, Kindyativka, Pokrovka and Grabovskye on Sumy Oblast, as well as more than twenty areas of populated places in Kharkiv Oblast, including Strilecha, Krasnoye, Morokhovets, Ogireve, Mala Vovcha, Milove, Obukhivka, Novomlynsky and Kutykivka.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy is trying to break through our troops' defense. Conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of populated places Grynykivka, Kreminna, Kuzymine, Verkhokamyanske and Spirene. Carried out artillery shelling in the areas of populated places Dvorichna, Grynykivka, Khrymal'ne in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselivske, Nevskoie and Bihorivka — Luhansk and Spirene and Rozdolovka on Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to storm the city of Bakhmut. Repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in the areas of populated places Orhiv-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Hryhorivka. Enemy shelling was suffered by more than fifteen populated places near the line of contact. Among them — Vasyukivka, Zaliznyanske, Orhiv-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Novomarkove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Predtechine and Oleksandr-Shultine in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of populated places Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevel'ske and Mariinka. In the specified sector of the front over the past day, the most attacks by the enemy were carried out near Mariinka — 12. All were repelled. Enemy shelling was suffered by more than twenty populated places, including Paraskevivka, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Tonienkoe, Severne, Pervomaiske, Netaylove, Mariinka, Pokhodnya, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is conducting defensive operations. Shelling was suffered by, among others, Chervone, Charivne, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Stebove and Novosilka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Mikhailivka, Novoaleksandrovka, Kachkarivka, Milove, Otradokamyanka, Mykolaivka in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

Russian occupiers continue forced passportization of the population on temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, in Melitopol, Russian occupation so-called authorities together with representatives of the Russian Federal Tax Service banned making any payments and settlements to citizens who do not have a registration number of the tax payer's card of the entity. It can be obtained exclusively upon presentation of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. Thus, over twenty seriously wounded occupiers were brought for treatment to Oleksivka District Hospital on temporarily occupied territory in Kherson Oblast.

Over the past day, Air Force of the Defense Forces inflicted seven strikes on areas of concentration of the enemy, while rocket units and artillery divisions damaged five command posts, five areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy, a depot of propellant and paint materials, two radar stations, an electronic warfare station and a surface-to-air missile complex at firing positions.

Overall over the past day our defenders liquidated 760 Russian invaders, destroyed two tanks, thirteen armored combat vehicles, thirteen artillery systems, one MLRS, one helicopter, seven cars and one unit of special equipment.
