The main promotion candidate from the first league, "Polska," has extended contracts with Pilyp Budkivskyi, Vasyl Hrytsuk, Vladyslav Ogirey, and Oleh Kudryk until June 2025. Additionally, they have signed deals with Dmytro Shastal, Vladyslav Shapoval, Andriy Nesterov, and Anton Yashkov until the summer of 2024. Veteran Andriy Hychenko will play for the team at least until the end of 2023.
Meanwhile, the main competitor to Polska, "Obolon," has once again defeated "Dinaz" — 1:0 in a friendly match. The ranks of the "brewers" have been bolstered by midfield players Serhiy Suchanov and Vladyslav Mukhamatgaliev. Next up for Kyivans are friendlies against "Chernihiv," "Mariupol," and Buzhivska "Niva."
"LNZ" also does not hide its ambitious plans. With a 1-0 score, Oleksandr Kovpak's wards have won against both "Dinaz" and "Mariupol." A friendly match with Zaporizhzhia "Metallurg" is scheduled for March 18.
By the way, changes have occurred in the coaching staff of Mariupol. The former goalkeeper Igor Shukhovtsev will now be responsible for preparing goalkeepers.
Already six friendly matches have been played by "Epizentru" players after resuming training sessions: they won three, drew twice, and lost once. In March, Serhiy Nagornya's wards will play against Kovalivska "Kolos," "Dinaz," and "Chernihiv."
"Kremenchuk" has signed its first two winter newcomers. They are 20-year-old goalkeeper Oleksii Slutskyi and striker Mykhailo Trofymyuk, who is a year older — graduates of the academies of Kyiv "Dynamo" and "Dnipropetrovsk-1," respectively.
"Bukovyna" has already become the winner of a charity tournament in Chernivtsi, where their opponents were amateur teams from neighboring regions. They also drew with "Prykarpattia" — 1:1. Until the end of the season, well-known striker Mykhailo Serhiychuk from "Veres" will play for them, goalkeeper Mark Medvediev has returned to the team, and a new recruit is Oleksandr Hlagola, an academy graduate from Zakarpattia.
Finally — about "Karpaty," who after spending a week in Lviv have returned to Zakarpattia, where they are conducting another training stage. The green-and-whites have focused their recruitment efforts on loan players. Their latest acquisition is utility player Serhiy Horbunov from "Dnipropetrovsk-1." The March training camp in Uzhhorod began with a friendly match against an amateur team from Zakarpattia, scoring 12 goals.
