The overwhelming majority of clubs after returning from vacation are concluding their recovery sessions, and next week will be the turn for game practice – friendly matches where potential new recruits will have an opportunity to showcase themselves.
However, a contender for promotion in the class, Chernihiv's "LNZ", managed to conduct four sparring matches already, including the latest one against one of the favorites of the first division, "Obolon" – 3:0. Ivan Tyshchenko scored a brace.
The footballers of "Epizentru" conducted two friendly matches during their February training camp in Kyiv. Initially, Podoliany took the lead over "Shtrum" (Ivankiv) – 2:1, and then exchanged goals with a second-division "Niva" (Buzova) – 1:1. The coaching staff relies on newcomer Yevgen Obertman, who made a good impression in the second division's "Munkatch". Taras Horylyi, Kyrylo Kostenko, and Rostyslav Morozov have changed their status.
"Bukovyna" won its first match of the year against its youth squad – 3:0. In Chernivtsi, they no longer rely on Semyon Datsenko, Yevheniy Chepurnenko, Vitaliy Chobotariev, Andriy Korolyanchuk, Mykola Pavlyuk, Igor Koshman, Andriy Shishigin, Oleksandr Zhumiga, and Mykita Komysar.
The footballers of Ivano-Frankivsk "Prykarpattia" in their first friendly match scored six goals against amateurs from "Agron", which is based in the Ternopil region, conceding only one. Sergiy Shvetz from "LNZ", Dmytro Shinkarenko from "Hirnyk-Sport", Hlib Popchuk ("Kryvyi Rih"), and Yuri Radulskyi ("Prykarpattia-Teplovik") signed contracts with Ivano-Frankivsk.
After returning from vacation, the players of Ternopil's "Niva" were informed that the club's sports director Serhiy Zadorozhnyi will continue to fulfill the duties of head coach. He has a new assistant – Serhiy Atlasyuk, who was once an assistant to Ostash Markivych in Mariupol. There is already one winter recruit – 23-year-old forward Dmytro Galadei, who delighted with his goal-scoring prowess in first division Ternopil Oblast.
And Zaporizhzhia's "Metalurh" is conducting the first stage of preparation at home. The ranks of Metalurh have been bolstered by Suleiman Seitkhaliylov from "Hirnyk-Sport".
