President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the Turkish people due to devastating earthquakes and reported on several meetings with representatives from the defense sector and law enforcement agencies.

"Ukrainians! Ukrainian women!

Today, I started my day by visiting the Embassy of Turkey. With condolences to the Turkish people due to devastating earthquakes. As of now, over 21 thousand deaths are reported. Rescue operations continue. Sadly, the death toll may be higher.

The team of Ukraine's State Emergency Service is currently working in Turkey, helping with debris removal. The Embassy of Ukraine is verifying all information regarding Ukrainians who might have been affected by the disaster.

We share the pain of the Turkish people. And we wish a speedy recovery to everyone who has suffered.

Today, I held several meetings with representatives from the defense sector and law enforcement agencies.

The topic can be said to be common for these meetings. This is about strengthening Ukraine's state institutions and protecting them from any attempts from outside or within to reduce their effectiveness and efficiency.

This applies to various aspects: personnel policy, interaction between state institutions, and the integrity of how state structures operate.

For example, at a meeting with law enforcement officials, there was a report on the detection and blocking of shadow schemes at customs. You have seen during these weeks corresponding investigative actions, arrests.

The Security Service of Ukraine, State Bureau of Investigation, Office of the Prosecutor General have significant results in protecting our country from those who worked for the aggressor state. There will also be appropriate steps by the National Security and Defense Council that continue our line of defending the state.

And all this activity — is not just individual episodes or criminal proceedings involving certain individuals. But also what concerns institutions. The state will continue to modernize its own institutions, processes within them, procedures. Transparency and accountability mechanisms must ensure integrity in the work of state structures.

And I want to thank all workers in our defense sector and security services, as well as law enforcement officials who care for the country, strengthen it with their work, and not only propose how to strengthen Ukrainian institutions but also deliver results in such strengthening.

Of course, today I would like to thank for the result and our air defenders. For another page of success in defending our country from Iranian drones used by Russia.

I especially highlight soldiers of the 160th Odesa ZRK Brigade, the 208th Kherson ZRK Brigade, and the 302nd Kharkiv ZRK Battalion. Thank you, boys!

Thank you to all our warriors for another necessary result in resilience and repelling enemy offensives in Donetsk — the Bakhmut direction, Avdiivka and other directions. I thank soldiers of the 80th Separate Mountain-Storm Brigade, the 5th Separate Storm Battalion, border guards, National Guard members who fight together on the territory of Donetsk.

Aeroreconnaissance and reconnaissance, aviation, mortar units, artillerymen, infantry, tank crews and everyone who helps. Thank you all!

Glory to all who make Ukraine stronger, the enemy weaker, and our victory closer!

Glory to Ukraine!"
