Wishing health to all Ukrainians!

Today is a day of extraordinarily good news for Ukraine. There is a tank coalition. There is a decision regarding the supply of tanks for our defense. Modern tanks.

I started today with a conversation with Chancellor Scholz — mainly about "Leopards" for Ukraine. And this is exactly the conversation we were waiting for.

Thank you, Mr. Chancellor, to all German political and civic leaders for your readiness to strengthen Europe's defense!

There is a very strong step by the United States — so the day begins according to American time. Ukraine will receive "Abrams," thank you for this decision.

Thank you personally, Mr. President Biden, thank you to Congress, every American family for the heartfelt strength of American global leadership!

I thank all our allies who are willing to provide us with modern and very necessary tanks.

All this proves the most important fact for the world right now — the fact that freedom is only getting stronger. And how we have united to strengthen freedom, to protect Ukraine and Europe — this is an historic achievement of leaders working today.

The key now is speed and scale. The speed of training our troops, the speed of supplying tanks to Ukraine. The scale of tank support.

We need to form such a tank fist, such a fist of freedom, after which tyranny will not rise again.

We can do this. Together and only — just as we make decisions today. Important ones.

It is very important that there is progress in other aspects of our defense cooperation too.

I spoke with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg today. We are opening supplies also of long-range missiles for Ukraine, importantly — we need to expand our cooperation in artillery, we need to move towards supplying aircraft to Ukraine. And this is a dream. And this is a task. An important task for all of us.

The more defensive support our heroes on the front receive from around the world, the sooner Russian aggression will end and the guarantees of security for Ukraine and all our partners after the war will be more secure.

A state terrorist must lose. The right to life of people must be protected. It will be.

There are two other important decisions today. One — from ECHR. Another — from UNESCO.

The European Court of Human Rights announced its decision regarding the seizure by Russia of territories in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and regarding large-scale violations of human rights by occupiers.

This is an interim legal decision for now. But thanks to this decision, we are closer to the day when Russia will be held accountable for aggression, as extensively from a legal perspective as Russia has invested in it.

UNESCO inscribed Odessa's historic center on the World Heritage List at risk. At risk due to the war unleashed by Russia.

This international step will help us protect our Odessa. Ukraine and the world are giving protection. Russia is incapable of providing anything but terror and attacks. This — facts.

I met today with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The conversation was mainly about our people forcibly deported to Russia by occupiers. Both adults, and children. A global mechanism of influence is needed in such situations.

A mechanism is needed to protect and return these people, to hold accountable all those responsible for the deportations.

I am confident that UN institutions can demonstrate leadership in addressing this issue.

Today I want to highlight our subunits that continue to repel attacks by occupiers in Donetsk. Right there, where Russia constantly tries to break through our defenses. Dozens of enemy attacks daily. And at least hundreds of examples of heroism from our soldiers daily.

Thank you to the 110th separate mechanized brigade, the 79th separate airborne assault brigade, the 35th separate marine infantry brigade and the 55th separate artillery brigade. Thank you, soldiers, for your resilience, for your courage, which inspire the world with ever greater support for Ukraine!

And one more thing. I want to thank everyone who expressed very moving words of support and welcome from many different people. From military personnel. From leaders and ordinary citizens. From all Ukrainians and foreigners. From colleagues now and in the past. Thank you all!

And our wish with you is one, I believe truly. A shared wish. Victory. We will do it. Doing everything for Ukraine's victory. And it will be. I know.
