President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about his talks with four leaders of partner countries and about a meeting of the General Staff dedicated to the needs of our armed forces.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Today was another active diplomatic day - I informed four leaders of partner countries in full detail about Ukraine's defense needs and about the imminent plans of the state terrorist.

Russia will not be able to hide its preparations for a new wave of aggression against Ukraine and all of Europe in secrecy. The world will know every detail, how and when the aggressor prepares for a new escalation in this war. And each new mobilization step by Russia will be known to the world before Russia takes it. We will ensure that.

And we are strengthening Ukraine's defense daily.

With all leaders, I discuss two things - more defensive support for our country, i.e., more weapons for our army, and more protection for all Ukrainians, on land, in the air, and at sea.

My conversation with Croatian Prime Minister Plenković today was not only substantive as always but also quite inspiring.

I heard full support for our country, as well as readiness from Croatia to lead in implementing exactly those steps that guarantee the return of security elements to Ukraine and Europe overall. Croatia is ready to be a leader in efforts necessary to clear our land of unexploded Russian mines and shells. This is one of the life-important tasks for our country and all Europeans. No part of Europe should - and will not! - be contaminated with mines, no matter how much Russia tried to fill our land with its weapons of death.

My conversation with President of Latvia today was also dedicated to the path that must be taken by the entire continent after the defeat of Russian aggression for truly secure safety. We discussed points of Ukraine's peace formula - both security-related and those concerning territorial integrity restoration and full force of UN Charter, as well as just accountability of Russia and all its killers for terror against Ukrainians.

I also noted a conversation with President Erdogan of Turkey - it was about many elements of security in our Black Sea region. Of course, we talked about necessary steps to ensure food security and what needs to be done for nuclear safety and prevention of any radiation incidents, which Russia has made, unfortunately, quite real.

We also discussed the dynamics of the situation in our region - that Russian economy is now in a rather desperate state due to occupiers' defeats on the front lines and ready for various manipulations.

I thank President Erdogan for support of our country and necessity of honest restoration of security for Ukraine and all of Europe based on territorial integrity restoration.

Today's conversation with Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez was very substantive and timely. Ahead of the next "Ramses" meeting, it is crucial that each of our partners knows exactly the real situation at the front line and what our defense forces are ready for. I thank Mr. Prime Minister Sánchez and all Spaniards for their unwavering support in our quest to protect freedom.

And separately today, I want to thank President Biden and Chancellor Scholz for their decision to strengthen our defense, a very significant decision. We will have another Patriot battery and powerful armored vehicles - this is truly a great victory for our country. All details, terms will be tomorrow after my conversation with Mr. Chancellor.

Today I also held a meeting of the General Staff dedicated primarily to needs of Ukraine's Armed Forces and all our defense and security forces. We understand that we need to use the nearest time - January and early February - to be ready for any attempts by terrorists to introduce new mobilization resources from Russia.

I want to highlight today soldiers of 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who have successfully held positions on the Bakhmut axis for many months. And also soldiers of 35th Marine Brigade for gradual liberation of our territories on the Donetsk axis. Thank you, warriors!

Thank you to everyone and every woman who ensures us now extremely needed resilience and progress in Donetsk and Luhansk regions!

And one more thing I want to remind citizens of Russia about today.

On November 15, the Ukrainian peace formula was presented. One of its points provides for withdrawal of Russian occupation forces from our country's territory. This is a guaranteed and reliable way to stop fire, human losses, and war altogether.

As of that morning, the number of killed Russian soldiers was 82 thousand.

On December 12, Russia received an offer to start implementing the peace formula with withdrawal of occupation forces exactly on Christmas Day.

By then, the number of killed Russian soldiers had already reached almost 95 thousand.

Both our offers apparently were not heard by your country's leadership... There where they are, it seems to be very deep and silent.

As of today, you have lost nearly 110 thousand soldiers in this war.

Those who continued terror against our country and sent all these people to their deaths, refusing our offers to end Russian aggression, clearly do not value lives and even less strive for peace.

Now they want to use Christmas as a cover to at least temporarily halt the advance of our guys in Donbas and bring closer to our positions equipment, ammunition, and mobilized troops. What will this give? Only another increase in losses tally.

Everyone knows how the Kremlin uses war pauses to continue the war with renewed strength. To end the war faster, something else is needed. It needs citizens of Russia to find courage for at least 36 hours during Christmas to free themselves from their shameful fear of one man in the Kremlin.

Your fear of him destroys your country that is already deep... but not in a bunker.

Ending war means ending aggression of your state. Even when your rockets and drones do not hit our cities, terror on occupied territories continues. No pauses you give Ukrainians. People are tortured, electrocuted, raped. This happens every day while your soldiers are on our land.

And war will end when either your soldiers leave or we drive them out.

So let them take their toilets - they will need them on the way back to themselves. Beyond 1991 border.
