North Macedonia's coach Blagoy Milevski summed up the year 2022 and evaluated his team's chances in the Euro 2024 qualification. This is reported by the official website of the Football Federation of North Macedonia.

"To qualify for a major tournament — it's every national team's dream." The group we are in is extremely tough, but at the same time, this is a great challenge for all of us.

We beat Italy in Palermo, and that match was one of their most important in recent history. After failing to qualify with North Macedonia, the Italians missed out on the World Cup for a second consecutive time. They will be extremely motivated to get revenge on us.

England is a top national team. Gareth Southgate works excellently with an incredibly talented squad. The English have many young players in their ranks and are now eager for big wins. However, we must be prepared for what lies ahead of us.

Malta is a team that constantly progresses and becomes more competitive. This is confirmed by their recent results.

Ukraine is a strong, big team. The Ukrainians play attractive modern football regardless of the opponent. We saw this in their direct match at Euro 2020.

We must understand that all opponents now view North Macedonia differently, wanting to beat our team. But the players fought for this status and made a good run in World Cup qualifiers — especially the two playoff duels with victories over reigning European champions Italy and a final against Portugal.

Favourites constantly change, andplaying any match is not easy. We saw that even very strong teams did not live up to expectations at the World Cup. In modern football, if we want to achieve our goal, it's not enough just to be on the required level but much more than that.

It is important for me that everyone stays healthy, although I understand we cannot fully control this. I constantly communicate with players about their condition and form in clubs. They know that only fully prepared performers can be competitive. Throughout this period, we have built mutual trust and I believe we understand that the team is above each individual and that we must all be a team." — said Blagoy Milevski.

Recall that on September 9 in Frankfurt, the draw for Euro 2024 qualification took place. As a result of which Ukraine's national team qualified to Group C, where they will face Italy, England, North Macedonia and Malta. The away match with North Macedonia is scheduled for June 16, while the home game is set for October 14, 2023.
