In the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup, Gareth Southgate's team met France at the «Elt Bayt» stadium in Al Khor. By the 17th minute, England were already thinking about how to defend. After Griezmann's pass, Tchouaméni scored with a powerful shot into the corner of the net.

After half-time, the scorer committed a rough foul in his own penalty area, and the referee

"Three lefts" could have held on, but at the 84th minute, Kane missed a penalty kick. 1:2 — and England were eliminated from the 2022 World Cup.
