To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on December 28, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and eighth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out a rocket strike and conducted 33 shelling operations with multiple launch rocket systems, including civilian objects in the city of Kherson.

The threat remains for the enemy to carry out aviation and missile strikes on critical infrastructure of the country.

The enemy continues offensive actions on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes, and is attempting to improve its tactical position on the Lyman axis.

Our soldiers repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Ploschanka and Chervonopopivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Spirne, Yakovlivka, Sverdlovsk, Bakhmutse, Podgordyne, Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Klyschyvka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Pobeda and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Volynian, Polissian, Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the situation remains stable; signs of forming offensive groups have not been detected.

On other axes, the enemy is defending previously occupied lines and concentrating efforts on restraining actions by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, shelling was experienced in the areas of populated places of Mehedivka, Tovstodubove and Vovkivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Hlybokoye, Staritsa, Ogireve and Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyanskyi axis, the enemy shelled areas of populated places of Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Dvoriche, Kupyansk, Tabayevka, Krykhmalne, Bereste and Pershotravnivoye in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Novoselyvskiy, Stehlmahevka and Kolomyichyha — Luhansk.

On the Lyman axis, areas of populated places of Ploschanka and Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Yamolivka, Torske and Hryhorivka on Donetsk were affected by fire.

On the Bakhmut axis, areas of populated places of Spirne, Bereste, Bilohorivka, Sverdlovsk, Podgordyne, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opitne, Stupochki, Klyschyvka, Andriyivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultine, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Mayoriv and New York in Donetsk Oblast were shelled.

On the Avdiivka axis, enemy fired on areas of Vodyane, Pervomayskoye, Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk.

On the Novopavlivskyi axis, fire damage was experienced by Ugledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystyvka, Zolota Nyva, Vremyvka and Velika Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis, tank and rocket artillery shelling was recorded in areas of populated places of Temirivka, Olhyvske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Dorozhnyanka, Bilyhor’ya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Shcherbaki, Kam’yanske and Plyvni in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

On the Kherson axis, the enemy continues mortar and artillery shelling of populated places along the right bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, Chervonohryhorivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Antonivka — Kherson Oblast, as well as the city of Kherson were affected. There are casualties among civilians.

On December 26, as a result of our fire strikes on enemy positions in the area of Chaplynykha in Kherson Oblast, losses of occupiers amounted to nearly 50 servicemen killed.

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, occupiers have intensified propaganda regarding enlistment for military service under contract into the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units over the past day hit a command post, seven areas of concentration of troops and military equipment, two ammunition depots, as well as an important military object of occupiers.
