Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 09.12.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred eighty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Klyshchyvky and Mariinka in Donetsk region.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out five missile strikes and three air raids, as well as conducted 54 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers.

And the threat of missile strikes on objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure remains across the entire territory of Ukraine.

On the Severodonetsk direction, the enemy shelled populated areas of Khodinka, Sosnovka, Kynratiivka, and Zapsillia in Sumy region with mortars.

On the Slovyansk direction, areas around the settlements of Strilechya, Terovo, Staritsa, Ogireve, and Kupiansk in Kharkiv region suffered from mortar and artillery fire.

On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is defending. Tank and various types of artillery shelling were recorded in areas around the settlements of Synykhivka, Pyskan, Peremohylovke in Kharkiv region and Novoselyvsk and Stelemyhivka in Luhansk region.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on areas around Grekivka, Makieivka, Ploschanka, Nevsky, and Chervonopopivka in Luhansk region and Torskyi and Hryhorivka in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions, the enemy continues to attempt offensive actions. Areas around 25 populated settlements were shelled with tanks, mortars, artillery, and rocket launchers. Among them — Berdychi, Andriyivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Beresteve, Bilohorivka, Vesela, Solorad, Bakhmut, Opitne, Avdiyivka, Pervomaysk, Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

On the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy is defending. Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, and Velika Novosylovka in Donetsk region were shelled.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out tank and artillery strikes on areas around 14 populated settlements. Among them — Vremivky, Velika Novosylovka, and Novopol in Donetsk region and Dorozhnyanka, Hulyaypole, Novodanilovka, and Stepanovo in Zaporizhzhia region.

On the Kherson direction, the enemy is conducting defensive actions. Tank and artillery strikes were recorded around areas of Berislav, Kozatske, Antonivka, Komishany, Dniprovsk, and Veletsensk in Kherson region as well as near the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. On December 7 of this year, as a result of artillery strikes on areas where occupiers were concentrated around the cities of Berdiansk, Tokmak, Melitopol, Enerhodar, Dniprorodne, Polohy and Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region, enemy losses amounted to nearly 240 people wounded. Three ammunition depots and almost 20 units of various types of military equipment were destroyed. A hospital set up at the Tokmak Tuberculosis Dispensary is completely filled with Russian occupiers' servicemen who are injured.

Units of rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit eight command points, 11 areas where personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, and two ammunition depots of the enemy.
