A benefit match called "Football for Victory" took place at the Avangard Stadium in Uzhhorod, featuring teams of celebrities from show business and legends of Ukrainian football.

This event, organized by the NGO "League of Life," the Ukrainian Football Association, the Zakarpattya Military Administration, the Zakarpattya Football Association, the Uzhhorod City Council, and FC Minay, is taking place for the second time this year. The funds collected will be used to purchase necessary equipment for soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The main arena of the region was attended by Myron Markevych, Vladyslav Vasyuk, Stanislav Medvedenko, Vasyl Virastyuk, Stepan Kazanin, Oleksandr Horiaiun, KilimMen from Kalush band, Yevgen Seliznev, Taras Mykhalkiv, Volodymyr Yezeretsky, Kateryna Nikitina and other famous Ukrainian coaches, athletes, comedians, hosts, singers to support our soldiers through the game. Among the players on one of the teams was also Viktor Mikhita, head of OVA. The first vice-presidents of the UAF Vadim Kostyuchenko and Anatoliy Demianenko as well as members of the regional football association also joined the participants at the stadium.

The teams chose "Collection for Car" (blue-yellow) and "Collection for Drone" (yellow-blue). Their coaches were the national team coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi and UAF's first vice-president Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko respectively.

Players were brought onto the green field by children from Minay's children-youth football school and SDOSSHR (Uzhhorod), as well as children of fallen soldiers from Uzhhorod. A minute of silence was observed in honor of the heroes.

Before the match, famous singer Polina Dashkova performed the National Anthem of Ukraine. The main time ended in a fierce draw - 6:6. After the match penalty shootout was won by players from the "Collection for Drone" team. Final score - 10:9.

Throughout the football event, a charity fair took place. All proceeds will also be directed towards supporting soldiers. In addition, among registered spectators, a signed jersey of match participants was raffled off.

As noted by the first vice-president of the UAF Vadim Kostyuchenko after the match, such charity events are extremely important both for supporting the Armed Forces and for uniting the football community. "We continue to play football, support various football events and charity matches all over Ukraine, thereby demonstrating our invincibility before the enemy - the invincibility of all of Ukraine. But no less important is to support our soldiers through football who risk their lives every day defending Ukraine," said Kostyuchenko.
