We continue to introduce you to the events within the UAF project "Open Football Lessons" that took place in regions of Ukraine in November. Note: There seems to be a discrepancy between the month mentioned in the original text (листопад - November) and the one translated based on context (November instead of December, as stated in the instruction). If the intention was to refer to December events, please adjust accordingly.

In Verkhovyna, which is in Transcarpathia, the children's festival "Open Football Lessons" took place.

Verkhovynschyna is one of the regions in Transcarpathia, along with Ivano-Frankivsk, Nadvoziany, Kaluska, Kolomyia, and Kosiv, which managed to hold this year's "Open Football Lessons" festival. This project is implemented by the Ukrainian Association of Football and the international organization UEFA Foundation under the support of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and Verkhovynschyna District Associations of Football.

On November 9, 144 children from three local territorial communities gathered at the "Chyrmosh-Arena," to master, at least minimally, the skills of millions. One of the conditions for holding the lesson was that its participants should be children who do not attend football sections, recipients of inclusive education, internally displaced persons, etc. Gender equality also came into play: girls made up no less than 40%.

With welcoming words to the audience, Vasyl Mytskanjuk, head of the Verkhovynschyna City Council, Taras Klim, first deputy chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Football Association, and Ivan Shkindyuk, head of the Verkhovynschyna District Football Association, along with representatives of local authorities and education departments, addressed the participants. They wished them sporting achievements, physical health, and confident victories.

The festival began with a dynamic warm-up. Then instructors conducted various entertaining football games, competitions, contests, and other sports events based on the principle of "Sport for All." The football field was divided into 12 conditional sectors, in each of which physical education teachers, as well as rescuers and psychologists, alternately worked with students.

They shared football secrets with the children, introduced them to exercises that help develop accuracy, speed, and endurance. The children, organized into teams, moved from sector to sector where they were offered to perform this or that exercise or invited to play.

The good mood of the football holiday was enhanced by musical accompaniment. Children happily participated in contests, games, and performed various exercises under the guidance of their mentors.

It remains to hope that the hours spent on the sports field will not be wasted and many children will decide to choose an active and healthy lifestyle and join the friendly football family.
