Both clubs had already secured their places in the playoffs, leaving only a direct duel to determine who would take first place and advance directly to the round of 16, while the second team would receive a ticket to the knockout stage. In this situation, the visitors needed to win.

However, in the early stages of the match, the hosts opened the score — Odgar scored with his head after a pass from Karlsson on the 8th minute. After that, the Dutch team had some dominance and could have scored more (Beukema had two chances in one attack), but Dnipro players counterattacked sharply. Pikhalyonok, Babenko, and Dobik had their moments. The latter equalized the score at the 40th minute after a pass from Amash.

After halftime, the hosts intensified their efforts to secure a victory. Several times, Ukrainian goalkeeper Valef saved his team, including from shots by Karlsson and Kerkez. However, on the 87th minute, Pavlidis, who came in as a substitute, managed to head in after Sugawara's cross. The score was 2:1.

In this match, Dnipro players who were called up for the autumn national team training camp participated: Sarapiy, Pikhalyonok, and Dobik (goal).

Thus, "Dnipro-1" finished second in the group and awaits the draw for the knockout stage, which will take place on November 7th (start at 3 PM Kyiv time). Matches of this round will be held on February 16th and 23rd, 2023.
