The Ukrainian women's national team has been drawn into Group A6 in the first qualifying round and will face Denmark, England, and Estonia. The matches will take place on October 7th, 10th, and 13th at Kadrioru Stadium and A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.

The last time this age group's national team gathered was back in October of the previous year. Ahead of the official matches, the blue-and-yellow team conducted a three-day training camp in Tallinn.

"We had encounters with Estonia last October during qualifying matches in Tallinn, where we secured our place in the elite division by winning 1-0. However, the main contenders for victory in our group are expected to be Denmark and England. We aim to give a good fight to the favorites but our primary goal is to finish stronger than Estonia in the final round and avoid relegation," said the head coach of our team, Serhiy Sapronov.

In League A, 28 teams will compete (including seven that moved up from League B after the second round of the season-2021/2022). They are divided into seven groups. Teams in each group play at one venue in a mini-tournament format. Those finishing fourth will continue their season in the second round of League B.

The seeding for the second round will depend on the positions teams secure in their respective groups during the first round. Estonia will also participate despite having an automatic qualification to the final stage as hosts.

Teams from League B (including those that dropped down from League A after the second round of season-2021/2022) compete in six groups for promotion to League A. Group winners and runners-up with the best record against teams finishing first and third will advance to a higher division.

As a reminder, due to Russia's full-scale aggression and martial law in Ukraine, our team was unable to participate in the second round of Euro-2022 qualification and formally secured the last, fourth place in their group. However, UEFA's Executive Committee ruled that the Ukrainian women's national team would remain in the elite division following Russia's disqualification. Consequently, they were placed into Pot 3 of League A.
