Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 28, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.
Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and seventeenth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.
The enemy is shelling positions of our troops along the line of contact, continues to concentrate efforts on attempts at full occupation of Donetsk Oblast and holding occupied territories, as well as halting active operations of the Defense Forces on certain fronts. In addition, it tries to recapture lost positions in certain areas and conducts aerial reconnaissance.
The enemy is delivering strikes against civilian infrastructure and housing of peaceful residents. There remains a threat of air and missile strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy delivered 10 missile and 17 aerial strikes, carried out over 105 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers. Russian occupiers are also targeting civilian objects, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.
Over 40 populated areas were affected by enemy fire, including Kharkiv, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Mykolaiv, Avdiivka, and Marinka.
On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, there have been no significant changes in the situation.
On other fronts, the enemy carried out shelling of populated areas with tanks, mortars, and artillery of various types:
on the Slobodzian front — in the vicinity of the populated areas of Strilecha, Sosnovka, Krasne, and Gruhshivka;
on the Kramatorsk front — Ridkodub, Katerynivka, and Staryi Karavan;
on the Bakhmut front — Spirene, Severnyy, Serbyanka, New York, Bakhmutseve, Vesela Dolina, Yakovlivka, Bilohorivka, and Rozdolivka;
on the Avdiivsk front — Avdiivka, Berdychi, Opitne, Vodyane, Tonikyntse, Krasnogorivka, Karlivka, Marinka, and Paraskevivka.
On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhian fronts, over 25 populated areas were shelled with tanks, mortars, and field artillery. Among them — Mykilske, Vuhledar, Perechystyvka, Neskuchoye, Novomykhaylivka, Vremivka, Temirovka, and Olhivske.
On the South Buzsk front, over 30 populated areas along the line of contact were affected by artillery fire. To conduct reconnaissance, correct fire, and deliver strikes against civilian infrastructure objects, the enemy carried out more than 25 sorties with UAVs.
In Russian occupation forces, conscription has begun for partial mobilization. Thus, reinforcements have arrived at units of the 1st Tank Regiment of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army, which are deployed in combat zones. No preparation was conducted with them. The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation simultaneously with partial mobilization continues so-called «self-mobilization». To units that are already fighting in Ukraine come individuals convicted of criminal offenses.
Over the current day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks in the vicinity of populated areas of Zaytseve, Mayorivka, Zalizne, Mykolaivka Second, Perevomayske, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, and Bezimennoe.
Air force units of the Defense Forces delivered 17 strikes. Confirmed damage to 14 enemy troop concentration areas and military equipment, three strongholds, and seven positions of anti-aircraft missile complexes. In addition, over the day, Ukrainian air defense units destroyed one aircraft, six UAVs, and one guided aerial missile Kh-59 of the enemy.
Rocket forces and artillery affected 12 areas of concentration of enemy troops and equipment, four ammunition depots, positions of anti-aircraft and radio-electronic warfare means, including an automated jamming station «Zhitel». Overall losses are being clarified.
We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and victory! Glory to Ukraine!
