General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 26.09.2022)

Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 26, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and fifteenth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on attempts at full occupation of Donetsk Oblast, as well as maintaining occupied territories. It is also conducting active operations by the forces of defense on certain fronts. The enemy is shelling our positions along the line of contact, attempting to recapture lost positions in certain areas, and carrying out aerial reconnaissance. It is striking civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

There is a threat of air and missile strikes across all of Ukraine. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out five missile and 12 aerial strikes, conducted more than 83 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The enemy also used four strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to attack civilian infrastructure targets.

Over 40 populated areas suffered from enemy fire. This includes Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Kamianka, Kurakhove, Pavlivka, Zaporizhzhia, Nikopol, Ochakiv, Mykolaiv and Odesa.

On the Volyn and Polesie fronts, there have been no significant changes in the situation.

On other fronts, the occupiers carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, and artillery:

on the Severnaya front — near the populated area of Oleksandrivka in Sumy Oblast;

on the Slobozhanskyi front — in the areas around the populated places of Strilecha, Odnorobivka, Veterinarnoe, Hatiche, Kamianka, Golubivka and Senkove;

on the Kramatorskyi front — Novoselivka, Shchurove, Severne, Hryhorivka, Bihorivka, Zakite, Dibrova, Verkhnyokamianske, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Ozerne and Spire;

on the Bakhmutskyi front — Siversk, Bakhmut, Bakhmutse, Odriadiwka, Zaytseve, Klyschivka, Vesela Dolina, Yakovlivka, Mayoriske, Nelypovka, Viyimka and Bihorivka;

on the Avdiivskyi front — Avdiivka, Opitne, Pervomaiske, Novomykhailivka and Paraskoviivka.

On the Novopavlivskiy and Zaporizhzhya fronts, 18 populated areas were shelled with tanks, mortars, and artillery. Among them are Yegorivka, Pavlivka, Zaliznychne, Novoandriyivka, Hulyaypilske, Hulyaypole, Uspenivka, Novosilka, Vremivka and Chervone.

On the Pivdenobuzhskyi front, over 27 populated areas near the line of contact suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

Partial mobilization announced by Russian military-political leadership is ongoing in the territory of the Russian Federation. Rostov Oblast has been closed to entry and exit. Persons who are not at their place of residence must report within three days through relatives. Lists of items that need to be purchased at personal expense for those arriving at collection points in Belgorod Oblast have been announced — this includes warm clothing.

The enemy is also conducting such measures on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Since September 24, the preparation of demobilized personnel has begun at a motor battalion base of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.

In the city of Svatove in Luhansk Oblast, conscription notices are being handed out to individuals who have reached 18 years of age. Certain citizens and truck drivers are immediately sent to military units.

At the same time, the enemy is attempting to implement the announced illegal "referendum" on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Thus, in populated areas of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, representatives of the occupying authorities together with armed Russian troops are conducting house-to-house visits, forcing local residents to participate in what they call a "referendum." Such visits also aim at identifying men. The enemy is carrying out similar activities in populated areas of Luhansk Oblast.

Occupants continue to suffer losses. Another precise hit on September 24 this year was confirmed against the area where enemy equipment is concentrated within the industrial zone in the city of Kherson. Previously, the enemy lost up to ten units of military equipment; personnel losses are being clarified.

During the past day, subunits of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by the enemy near populated areas of Spire, Siversk, Mayoriske, Bakhmut, Podgrodne, Viyimka, Kurdyumivka, Zaytseve, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske, Kamianka, Pobeda and Pavlivka.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 33 strikes. Confirmed damage to 25 areas where enemy forces are concentrated and eight positions of air defense missile systems (ADMS). In addition, subunits of anti-aircraft defense destroyed one Su-25 aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and two UAVs of the enemy.

Missile troops and artillery units damaged six command posts, 12 areas where enemy forces are concentrated and equipment, two positions of air defense missile systems (ADMS), three subunits of rocket troops and artillery, six ammunition depots, as well as nine separate important targets during the current day.

We believe in victory! We approach it together! Glory to Ukraine!
