Yesterday, on September 24 in Yerevan, the Ukraine national team defeated Armenia (5:0).

Goalkeeper of Real Madrid Andriy Lunin, who kept a clean sheet, shared his thoughts about the match.

"First and foremost, it's great that we achieved such a result. This was necessary for us to stay in contention for first place. We knew that Armenia would be more aggressive at home than away. There were some mistakes, which always happen. But today, for confidence and peace of mind, it's important that we played on zero [goals conceded] and found our moments to score ahead. This sets a positive tone."

Although I had little playing time, the training process at the club is at the highest level. And in the national team as well, since coach V'yacheslav Kernozenko and I have known each other for a long time. I just enjoy working with him, so my mood is great. Personally, it was important for me to play on zero [goals conceded] for confidence and rhythm. So I'm glad that I helped the team in some way.

During the match, you think about whether it's already won or not. You play, you do your job, everything is automatic. I believe after the 60th minute, Armenia was somewhat exhausted, and we took advantage of that. After this game, it's very important to fully recover. Everyone understands what kind of game awaits us—against a tough opponent. But we need to prepare and set ourselves up for victory,"— said Andriy Lunin.

We remind you that the match between the national teams of Ukraine and Scotland in the 6th round group stage of the League of Nations will take place on September 24 in Krakow (kickoff—9:45 PM Kyiv time).
