General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 19.09.2022)

To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 19, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and eighth day of heroic resistance against Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on attempts at full occupation of the Donetsk region, organizing defense and maintaining occupied territories, as well as halting active operations by defensive forces on certain fronts. He is shelling our positions along the line of contact, conducting redeployment measures for his units on certain axes, introducing reserves, and does not cease aerial reconnaissance.

The enemy continues to shell civilian buildings and objects of civilian infrastructure, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes and 22 air attacks, conducted over 90 artillery shelling of targets on Ukrainian territory. Since the beginning of this day, the enemy has launched another three missile strikes.

Infrastructure in more than 30 populated areas was damaged. This includes Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Siversky Donets, Bakhmutka, Novopavlivka, Perevirne, Temyrivka, Sukhyi Stavok, Mirolubivka, Pyetrovka, Berestove, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, New York, Yurievka, Rozhivka, and Zaytseve.

There remains a threat of air strikes and missile attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the situation has not changed significantly.

At other fronts, the enemy carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, and artillery, namely:

on the Slobozhansky front — in the areas of the populated places of Hoptivka, Horivka Kozatsk, Kamianka, and Kupyansk;

on the Kramatorsky front — Svagirivsk, Raihorodok, Serbianka, and Bakhmut;

on the Bakhmutsky front — Severnyy, Rozdolovka, Siversky Donets, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, New York, Yurievka, Rozhivka, and Zaytseve;

on the Avdiivsky front — Avdiivka, Opitne, Karlivka, Kostyantynivka, Mariinka, and Pervomaisk;

on the Novopavlivskiy and Zaporizhzhian fronts — Vuhledar, Bila Nova Sylva, Mali Shcherbaky, Miren, Volne Pole, and Vremivka.

On the Southern Bug front, the enemy carried out shelling along the entire line of contact. Over 18 populated areas were affected by artillery fire. Among them — Bila Krinitsa, Mirolubivka, Vishkopyllya, and Andriyivka.

Due to a serious shortage of both human and material resources, Russian occupiers continue to resort to unconventional methods for replenishment. Thus, 400 individuals from the city of Tambov in Russia were sent to reinforce units fighting in Ukraine who are serving sentences for criminal offenses. In the Krasnodar region, public organizations "Afghan veterans" received assignments to collect money from local residents to purchase warm clothing for a regional volunteer battalion.

Over the past day, defensive forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of populated places Mykolaivka Druha, Vesela Dolyna, and Bakhmut.

During the day, aviation of the defensive forces carried out 21 strikes — confirmed damage to 16 concentrations of live enemy forces and strongholds and five positions of air defense missile complexes.

Missile troops and artillery inflicted fire impact on over 14 targets of the enemy, including six command posts, three strongholds, and areas of personnel concentration and military equipment. The objects of anti-aircraft defense, radio-electronic warfare, and three ammunition depots were hit.

Total losses of the enemy are being clarified.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
